01/03/2025: I visited The Fiddler’s Elbow tonight, Friday, at around 20:46, hoping for a pleasant dinner. To my surprise, I was immediately informed that the kitchen was closed—even though they advertise that it’s open until 9 pm (see photo!) When I asked for clarification on the closing time, I was told that it’s a strict rule to close at quarter to, which is incredibly frustrating.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered issues here. On a recent visit, our menus were literally thrown at us as the waitress walked away, leaving us feeling disrespected and ignored. The service, overall, has been consistently slow and unresponsive. It seems like they rely on slow cookers to manage the orders, which only adds to the delay!!!???? 🤷
After tonight’s experience, I don’t see myself returning. The repeated disregard for advertised hours and the consistently poor service have finally become too much.

15/03/2025: The food was quite good but the service was poor. We waited too long for our order to arrive. Without being particularly crowded.
06/03/2025: Fantastic food. Very attentive service. So nice to see bread and butter down on the table, rather than having to pay for it off the menu. We were even presented with a small plate of bite size meringues when we asked for the bill. Little touches like this make the experience stand out. Highly recommend!

21/02/2025: Had dinner here on Feb 8th before a show. I ordered a half of roast chicken with potatoes & mixed veg. I got a half of chicken alright hardly any chicken on it, it was all bone, piled with mash spud and a bucket of carrots no other veg (must have thought I needed the carrots because I wear glasses). The presentation was shocking and the dinner was v tasteless...v disappointed. The staff were friendly.
14/02/2025: Went for a dinner on Valentines day.
The first impression was the hotel has spent more money on the website than the actual interiors. We went in expecting for a 3coure meal with a glass of prosecco for a certain price, which I had made the reservation for,but we were told it's only for the guests staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, no such information was given when making the table reservation. However, we went in for the dinner anyway. The food was OK, but after a while my partner felt sick and that was his rest of the evening spent in the toilet. So overall, not a great experience.

17/12/2024: My partner and I ordered a large order a couple of weeks ago. This would be our regular Chinese place. We don't drive so we asked for delivery. We were told it would take 1.5hrs, that was fine we waited. Food never came. 2.5hrs in I ring them and the food hadn't left the kitchen yet. I asked if I could get the delivery charge back and the manager threatened to not send my food at all. When we did get it 3.5hrs in it was freezing. The food is OK but service is shocking

01/09/2024: Baba G restaurant is really great. We had a meal there some time ago, and their menu is excellent. I think everyone should definitely visit that place; it's a really good restaurant.
