17/08/2025: We were travelling as a large group and stayed here for a night in August (as part of a six-day charity cycling event). We had a fantastic time. Eileen and the rest of the hotel team were extremely accommodating throughout our stay, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. From storing the teams' bikes, to providing delicious food, we had a great time and can thoroughly recommend staying here.
16/08/2025: We dropped in spontaneously and were immediately given an incredibly warm welcome. Even though it was incredibly busy, the team kept checking on us to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything else – truly fantastic service!
The food was more than just good, simply delicious. The Guinness was perfectly poured and creamy in the glass – exactly as you'd expect.
Our room was very clean and comfortable, the only thing missing was a small hand towel. Overall, though, we absolutely recommend it – we felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

31/08/2025: Had a family lunch at the French Dining Room – excellent service and beautifully cooked food. Fresh oysters, goat cheese salad, pork belly, and crab with avocado were all outstanding. Great wine list too.

16/07/2025: I am visiting from New York, I wasn’t expecting to find pizza this good in a small town in Ireland — but Roberto’s completely proved me wrong. I had their pizza for the first time last night and ended up going back again tonight. That should tell you enough. The pizza is genuinely delicious — the crust has that perfect balance of crunch and chew, the toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the sauce and cheese are layered just right. It reminded me of the kind of authentic, well-made pizza you’d find in a solid neighborhood spot back in NYC.
But what made this place even better was the people inside. The staff and the owner are genuinely some of the friendliest and funniest people I’ve met on this trip. From the second I walked in, they made me feel welcome and I became “Charlie”. It wasn’t just about grabbing food — it felt like a full experience. We joked, laughed, talked about where I was from, and by the time I left, it felt like I’d known them for way longer than just one visit.
The service was quick and everything came out fresh and hot. There’s no cutting corners here — it’s real food made with love and personality. And as someone who’s picky when it comes to pizza (especially being from New York), I can confidently say this is the best pizza I’ve had while visiting Ireland. Easily.
If you’re nearby or even just passing through, make it a point to stop by Roberto’s. You won’t regret it. I’ll definitely be coming back for more during the rest of my stay. And if you’re still on the fence, just look at the pizza. That alone should convince you. 🔥🍕🇮🇪🇦🇱

21/02/2025: Had dinner here on Feb 8th before a show. I ordered a half of roast chicken with potatoes & mixed veg. I got a half of chicken alright hardly any chicken on it, it was all bone, piled with mash spud and a bucket of carrots no other veg (must have thought I needed the carrots because I wear glasses). The presentation was shocking and the dinner was v tasteless...v disappointed. The staff were friendly.
14/02/2025: Went for a dinner on Valentines day.
The first impression was the hotel has spent more money on the website than the actual interiors. We went in expecting for a 3coure meal with a glass of prosecco for a certain price, which I had made the reservation for,but we were told it's only for the guests staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, no such information was given when making the table reservation. However, we went in for the dinner anyway. The food was OK, but after a while my partner felt sick and that was his rest of the evening spent in the toilet. So overall, not a great experience.

01/09/2024: Baba G restaurant is really great. We had a meal there some time ago, and their menu is excellent. I think everyone should definitely visit that place; it's a really good restaurant.
