The best restaurants in Clonmel

17/09/2025: Would be a regular visitor to bodega and always thought of it as a special occasion style restaurant. Went back today to celebrate an anniversary and from the moment we walked in, it was completely off. We were left waiting at the front in what looked like an empty restaurant. Wasn’t asked for our names and brought to a table. I specifically mentioned in the booking it was an anniversary but there was no mention of this throughout the experience. Food, which I might add has always been amazing was unfortunately extremely poor. Patatas bravas were an extra €6 and was once a full bowl of potato’s with chorizo and cheese etc however now they are plain? And only maybe 10 or 11 small cubes of potatoes. The rest of the food came out luke warm and some extremely greasy. The tenders came out with barely any sauce and felt like they’ve been sitting under a hot lamp for a while. The manager mentioned the menu was new and if I’m extremely honest, a step down. I must mention the manager himself was and always has been a pleasure to dine with, however he worked alone. No other staff. This might have a knock on affect with the dining experience and something they should really look at as there was already 6 tables of 2-4 people each. Hope someone from bodega reads this and can implement some changes to avoid another business suffering in clonmel, as I’ve always said this is or was a great place to dine.

13/09/2025: Amazing restaurant. Food was excellent, great selection of tapas food. Bueatiful decor. Great atmosphere. Special deals very reasonably priced. Good wine &: cocktail list. Extremely attentive & friendly staff, can't wait to go back

25/10/2025: We had a 60 wedding anniversary last weekend for my mam and dad and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well well done to all the staff for making our evening so enjoyable

06/10/2025: This place is a gem! The people are kind, the breakfast is delicious, and the country house accommodations are spacious and beautiful. Clonmel is a bustling little city in a fertile countryside dotted with remnants of medieval Ireland and holy wells that speak to much deeper history. You can get the bus from here to a number of beautiful sites and also to Limerick or Waterford if you wish. The trail along the meandering old river is a perfect place for a walk.

05/11/2025: I'd recommend anyone to stay here. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. So friendly, and the breakfast was perfect to start the day. Definitely return. Thank you for our great experience 😀

03/11/2025: We came to stay for a wedding at Raheen House, in from New York for only 3 nights and we could not have picked a better place to stay. It is located right in the town of Clonmel so it is close to all of the shopping, pubs, eating. We parked the car and didn’t have to move it for the entire stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They had everything you needed and definitely some of the most comfortable hotel beds we ever slept in. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant is beyond words. Even if you don’t stay here definitely book in for dinner. They have a nice little beer garden with heat lamps to keep you warm. We loved this place and plan to stay again the next time we are coming into town.

13/10/2025: We stumbled upon this gem by chance, and what a find! Having been to China before, I can confidently say the food here is just as authentic and flavorful. We ordered the duck, and it was absolutely mouthwatering—truly finger-licking good. I’d rate it a solid 5 stars, plus a bonus for the experience!

20/11/2025: Beautifully appointed rooms, friendly & obliging staff ,Megan at reception was so pleasant Bar and food excellent both nights ,Yola made our experience so special,her attention to detail and beautiful manner exceeded expectations Leisure centre is dated but functional Breakfast spread was good,plenty of choice but finishes at 10am which personally I find a bit early Plenty of complimentary parking Would highly recommend this hotel

01/12/2025: A must-stop if you're in Clonmel! A typical Irish pub with handcrafted decor worthy of being preserved forever. A beautiful, well-maintained bar. Impeccable service; friendly and attentive. And the portions are fantastic, generous but not excessive like in some other pubs. Located right in the center with a special charm, well worth a visit, at least for a beer and to soak up the Irish atmosphere 😍. Thank you. I'll definitely be back.

01/09/2025: We only drank two small beers. It had just opened at 5 PM. It already had a large clientele, especially locals. The atmosphere was that of a true Irish pub, with soft lighting and a wealth of memorabilia, plaques, and banners. There's also a small outdoor area at the back, but with a covered area for smokers.

21/11/2025: From The Bunker and now to the Driver's, my family and I always love our food from this crowd. Definitely our favourite place for a good grub around town.

01/11/2025: Have had a few take out pizzas from Prego. It's consistently excellent. 12 euro for a 12" pizza. The bases are thin and slightly charred. The sauce is excellent. Toppings fresh. Pepperoni is gorgeous. Highly recommend.

11/07/2025: Good choice of grocery also extended hall for closing and homeware department. They have installed fresh orange juice machine and coffee beans machine on the floor area and more choices inside.

04/10/2025: Outstanding, staff we excellent, good was really good and about 25% cheaper than Eddie Rockets which would be a similar style diner. Will go again
