The best restaurants in Clonmel

17/09/2025: Would be a regular visitor to bodega and always thought of it as a special occasion style restaurant. Went back today to celebrate an anniversary and from the moment we walked in, it was completely off. We were left waiting at the front in what looked like an empty restaurant. Wasn’t asked for our names and brought to a table. I specifically mentioned in the booking it was an anniversary but there was no mention of this throughout the experience. Food, which I might add has always been amazing was unfortunately extremely poor. Patatas bravas were an extra €6 and was once a full bowl of potato’s with chorizo and cheese etc however now they are plain? And only maybe 10 or 11 small cubes of potatoes. The rest of the food came out luke warm and some extremely greasy. The tenders came out with barely any sauce and felt like they’ve been sitting under a hot lamp for a while. The manager mentioned the menu was new and if I’m extremely honest, a step down. I must mention the manager himself was and always has been a pleasure to dine with, however he worked alone. No other staff. This might have a knock on affect with the dining experience and something they should really look at as there was already 6 tables of 2-4 people each. Hope someone from bodega reads this and can implement some changes to avoid another business suffering in clonmel, as I’ve always said this is or was a great place to dine.

13/09/2025: Amazing restaurant. Food was excellent, great selection of tapas food. Bueatiful decor. Great atmosphere. Special deals very reasonably priced. Good wine &: cocktail list. Extremely attentive & friendly staff, can't wait to go back

23/02/2026: Myself and my wife had our wedding here in February 2026 and we could not have asked for a nicer venue. The staff were so helpful in planning our wedding with us, and looking after us on the day itself. Shania, Katie and Davie were amazing. The food was amazing quality; a lot of our guests commented it was the best wedding dinner they’d ever had. The decor on the day was beautiful too, and we love the old world manor aesthetic of the hotel. I can’t praise them highly enough. It’s a hidden gem in south Tipperary.

14/02/2026: Lovely, comfortable, clean, relaxed and easy going hotel- nice old worldly themed building and cosy rooms with all the mod cons. Wonderful delicious food to be had there also, and the gardens and grounds are beautiful. The hotel staff and really nice too. Don't miss the breakfast!!

21/03/2026: The food is lovely, the entertainment is class and atmosphere is great and staff are lovely! First time ive stayed here, and it was so amazing! 10/10 would reccomend!

21/03/2026: We celebrated our Grandson confirmation and our 50th wedding anniversary, 19th and 20th. We had a fantastic day and night and it was mostly down to how friendly the staff were. They couldn't do enough for us, and we also got a lovely gesture of a box of chocolates in our room. We would definitely recommend them, and we will be back.

19/12/2025: I went to Prego Pizza in Clonmel on a recommendation and I was not disappointed. Very delicious 12" pizza at a good price. I will definitely come back to this place. I highly recommend Prego Pizza in Clonmel.Thank You 🫶

The most polite and smiling people( including the owner) I’ve seen ,serving on Saturday night !!! 01/12/2025: A must-stop if you're in Clonmel! A typical Irish pub with handcrafted decor worthy of being preserved forever. A beautiful, well-maintained bar. Impeccable service; friendly and attentive. And the portions are fantastic, generous but not excessive like in some other pubs. Located right in the center with a special charm, well worth a visit, at least for a beer and to soak up the Irish atmosphere 😍. Thank you. I'll definitely be back.

07/03/2026: Befani is well located in the centre of Clonmel. We had an evening and breakfast which were both very and served by pleasant and attentive staff. The accommodation above the restaurant is comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a very pleasant stay.

06/03/2026: We had a Lovely post wedding dinner held here this March , service was amazing and staff were very attentive and everything came out in perfect time , would definitely recommend :)

02/04/2026: I like to share my overall experience we had in Planet spice in Kilkenny on 2 April 2026. The Ambience of the restaurant was top class and hygiene was well maintained. Our waiter Mohamed was well experience with his job on recommending the food. Food was fantastic. Thanks

30/12/2025: Arrived Sunday 27th December, no booking, super busy but Ming managed to seat us within 30 minutes. Food was amazing as per usual, service top class and price very competitive. We will be back soon.

03/11/2025: A wonderful little cafe with a great selection of food both for lunch and breakfast, I really like the fact they had an all day breakfast menu cause usually breakfast is stopped being served at a certain time for certain cafes but this one didn't disappoint, the staff are lovely, the only downside is if it's busy it fills up fast as it isn't the biggest area inside but that can't also be helped. Overall a nice little cafe.

20/09/2025: Lovely friendly place. Asked to use the toilet and the women's toilets were spotless and smelled beautiful.
