17/06/2025: This place was fabulous, big portions and lots of sauce for those of us that like to dunk out chips. Staff were lovely, price wise was good value.

12/05/2025: Not impressed. The service was efficient but neither polished or particularly friendly. The food portions were very generous but the food was far too bland for our liking. The chicken and mushroom was more like a chicken casserole whilst the chicken in black bean sauce was more tasty but very salty. Being English we are used to a wide choice of excellent Chinese restaurants in the UK and we felt this was a poor match to what we are use to. It was also expensive by UK standards but that is par for the course in Ireland. Won't go again. We had a takeaway a few years back and were also disappointed.

23/07/2025: We stopped here on our road trip around the Atlantic way coast. Just had a couple of drinks but came back the following evening to have a meal and hear some traditional Irish music from the live performers. The food was really good. I had the Guinness beef casserole and my wife the special lamb stew. Both dishes were excellent, and we finished by sharing the apple pie and ice cream. That was so good, great pastry and filling. The serving staff were all so friendly and the lady who seem to be in charge couldn’t have been more helpful by seating us where we could see the live music. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

20/07/2025: Visited with my husband for a two night break, The coachman’s is a small boutique style hotel on the main st in Kenmare, perfect location offering great Irish hospitality. Loved the beautiful appointed rooms, so quiet with great attention to detail. Owner run by Padraig, Siobhan & great staff definitely recommend staying if you’re going to Kenmare.

25/07/2025: Went to Prego with my friend and our kids today. The food was lovely, Tommy Joe so nice and friendly. He gifted us ice cream Very kind to the kids. The shop us spotless. The price is so reasonable.

19/07/2025: Best pizza I've had so far in Clonmel, just don't overload on the toppings! Delivery can be a bit long but usually get the pizza within an hour, and it's always piping hot thanks to the contraption in the delivery van. I've tried a few pizzas around Clonmel and Pregos is the best.

27/07/2025: I never write reviews and let most things slide. However One afternoon I stepped into the barbers at the main entrance in between the escalators and the jewelers only to have my hair cut by the most ignorant barber i have ever met in my life. Proceeded to comment on how awful my hair was. I even had to politely ask him to not talk about my hair. To which he ignored and then started to get aggressive with the brush to remove excess hair from the neck and face. I will never go back again. I Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere.

21/12/2024: Great atmosphere. If you're lucky you might walk into a good singsong. Staff friendly and professional. Nice beer garden as well. Great for live performances during the summer busking festival.

21/05/2025: I've been a regular customer at Lyons for some time now, usually visiting every few months, and I’ve always appreciated the consistently friendly and welcoming staff—they're truly wonderful and a highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing and concerning. I ordered the Chips & Chilli Chicken meal, which came with chicken tenders, chips, a side salad, and garlic and sweet chilli sauces. Right away, I noticed the salad was quite dry and lacked freshness—aside from a single slice of tomato, which was the only thing that seemed fresh. The dressing was decent, but overall, the meal didn’t meet the usual standard I've come to expect. Not long after eating, I experienced severe food poisoning—the worst I’ve had in a long time. Since this was the only meal I had before falling ill, I strongly suspect something in it may have been spoiled. After checking online reviews, I noticed that others have also reported similar experiences with food poisoning, which makes this even more concerning. I'm not writing this out of anger, but out of genuine care for the restaurant and its customers. Please take this feedback seriously and ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly checked for freshness and expiry. Food safety should always be a top priority. Thank you
