The best restaurants in Tramore

17/06/2026: We got a lovely meal here, it was top standard. Also very friendly staff

10/05/2026: Go to tramore regular with my two god children we go for a swim in splashworld, then we go for a bite to eat, recently we decided to make a change from usual places on the prom we would go for food this time we went up into the town of tramore and found that O'Shea's Hotel was open. We walked inside and were shown to a table and drinks order was taken, found setting to be comfortable warm and friendly it was fab to see open fire 🔥 on the go while there nice to see little tradition kept going. After short wait our drinks were brought to the table. And then our food order was taken by fantastic friendly waitress, she didn't leave us untill she had each order exactly as each one at table required. After short wait food was brought out and I was very surprised with what arrived at the table, i can say O'Shea's exceeded our expectations. Food was hot as it should always be and service received was total above expectations, waitress kept checking to see if everything was ok and to our satisfaction and I can not fault them. There was noting to fault them on. As for the food portions and quality of the food I'll leave pics on here so readers can draw their own opinion, all I can say is O'Shea hotel tramore thank you for the wonderful service you gave us on our visit and we plan to revisit again, keep up what you are doing as it's what customers look for and want when visiting a good business or hotel and restaurant establishment. Don't change what your doing as it works so don't try and fix it coz it is not broke.

23/08/2026: Aesthetically pleasing restaurant, beautiful colors, very close to the sea, etc. But they have a serious problem with the preparation times... they're slow, both in serving and preparing the dishes. Good food, good fish and chips, especially the one cooked with Guinness, except for the carbonara, which, as an Italian, I dare say wasn't true carbonara, but rather an interpretation of carbonara. I strongly recommend training the staff to be quicker, as waiting an hour just for a drink, with only a few customers seated, is not normal. Otherwise, they're super friendly, and the menus are very clear regarding allergies. Recommended for those with a lot of time on their hands.

06/08/2026: I'm coeliac and it's a long time since I've seen a menu as 'inclusive' as that in Brooklyn. So much available gluten free and what I had was just delicious.

03/08/2026: What can I say about murphs great little bar Always welcome on arrival Martin and all the crew very pleasant and look after everyone Even the local lads always someone to have the craic with excellent flow of Guinness Good craic on darts night and pool area also upstairs excellent music in the evening Not forgetting Joe and Lou 2 great ladies Never short of words Can’t wait to get back down and see all the gang especially rocky and Tommy 10/10 ratings Maxi and Bernie

29/09/2026: We ordered food online for delivery, but our food never arrived as the restaurant wasn't even open despite the website saying it was. After a very long wait we drove to the restaurant only to then find out it wasn't open. We were charged for our food and delivery, the website allowed us to order the food despite the restaurant being closed and it stated that they were open.

15/08/2026: Great experience here today. We were made feel very welcome by the staff . We had our dog with us & we were offered a bowl of water for him & a pup cup 😍 The Churros were so good we had to get a second helping. Fantastic pet friendly Cafe & we will definitely be returning.

18/07/2026: Had churros at Galway festival and it was unfortunately disappointed. Tasteless and not much sauce. Do not recommended.

01/09/2026: Disappointed with our fish and chips here as the ones we got at Doolys on the pier were gorgeous. The fish was dry as if it had been reheated and the chips were soggy.

06/08/2026: I got fish, chips and sausages. The batter on both the fish and sausages was thick and soggy. The chips were limp and greasy. This place has gone seriously downhill. I won't be going there again. Skip it if you can.

27/09/2026: Their ice cream is just proper dairy milky ice cream, and proper Cadbury flakes that haven’t lost their taste with temperature!

07/09/2026: Went here today , usually wouldn't write a review but I was shocked at the aggressiveness of the staff. Blonde woman , sounded English, served me . She was annoyed that I had "not ordered the same time" as my friend , even though she had told us to both sit down after my friend ordered and walked off , speaking to other people. Felt very unwelcoming there. Food was alright, bit overpriced. Reading the other reviews, seems like the staff just hate their job .

27/08/2026: Ordered a cheese burger meal comes with a drink as it’s a meal and a garlic dip no drink came with the delivery so I rang them and they said because I ordered a garlic dip I don’t get a drink but I ordered the meal and a garlic dip heard the staff member saying if he wants a drink pay that’s so rude why would I pay for a drink that’s included in a meal chips were cold aswell they didn’t even offer to replace them or even apologise avoid it’s a joke they always forget something and try to con you then. So I paid 14.50 for a burger you could say.

24/08/2026: Staff were extremely slow to seat us, and to bring us menus when we finally did receive them it took 15 mins to even approach us to take our food order, we were a larger table of 5 but several tables around us had the same experience, it then took an additional 10 mins to drop over the drinks 3 cans of Coke and then am additional 10 mins to drop over a jug of water. The staff were clearly more focused on the take away orders than ourselves, while it wasnt busy they were never neglective towards us, the food took approximately 45 mins to arrive and came out in Drips and drabs, my son got a chicken curry and the rice arrive 15 mins later the curry came out. And at this stage my young son had finished his rice, i had to continuously ask where our food was, and keep being fobbed off with just 1 minute. There was also a commastion at the counter with a paying taxe away customer waiting 2 hours for a meal and rewuesting a refund but was refused as " The food is out for delivery " The whole experience was terrible and I wont be going back here again

24/08/2026: Ordered food here last night to the value of €80 euro older Chinese lady was absolutely so rude . Got our order after one hour waiting for it only to discover they forgot half . When we approached the older lady she told me not to be complaining !!! Never again shall I enter the doors of yere restaurant . Phones were ringing as I was there staff completely ignoring the calls . Young girl behind the counter having to correct the older ladies mistake . Avoid avoid avoid !!!
