21/09/2024: This place is an absolute gem. Atmosphere is always great and the food is consistently excellent. Eaten here countless times and never had anything less than a brilliant experience.
14/09/2024: Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

06/01/2025: It’s great. Visit, order, eat, and enjoy. It’s a little stark out front with what looks like a lovely garden seating area at the back. We’re regulars now as the veggie options are far superior to other eateries in town.

Absolutely delicious, chewy yet crispy pizza bases and really tasty ingredients.
They do takeaway and sit down, 6 tables inside with a nice atmosphere where you can watch the guys work the wood fired oven whether you're sitting down or just waiting for your takeaway.
5 stars perfect pizza every time and great guys and gals running the show

21/09/2024: The restaurant is highly recommended.
The quality of the food is at a high level and really tasty. The menu is large and not overdone, but there is plenty to choose from.
The service was efficient and really nice.
The only downside is ordering drinks at the bar and not through the waiter.
The atmosphere is also very nice and the terrace by the sea is the biggest advantage of this pub.

23/02/2025: The best churros ive ever had in Ireland, nothing could beat it. Crunchy and dip was good.
However the opening hours stated on google isnt the same as the store. Perhaps that could be updated. Came all the way from Cork, i should’ve called and check rather than just doing google search 🥺

16/02/2025: Visited just after 5 PM and ordered the monkfish & chips, fish & chips, and tortellini. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The chips were undercooked, cold, and soggy. The batter on the fish was excessively greasy, after finishing the monkfish, my fingers were soaked. The only highlight of the meal was the salad.
I've given an extra star because the cod itself was nice, but the batter was still too greasy. The other star is for the staff, who were clearly understaffed but doing their best to keep up. Hopefully, these issues can be addressed.
