21/09/2024: This place is an absolute gem. Atmosphere is always great and the food is consistently excellent. Eaten here countless times and never had anything less than a brilliant experience.
14/09/2024: Some restaurants serve good food and others have great decor or good service. But the Pier Cafe is blessed with all tree bound together by an amazing ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience here with great food and attentive service. There's such a buzz here, it's great. Sarah, front of house, expertly makes the restaurant run like clockwork and is so personable. We had the prawn Dahl and duck salad for starters followed by entrecôte steak and beef ribs. Faultless. It's really great value for money and a most memorable experience.

08/05/2025: Mezze was a delicious restaurant cafe. The Mezze platter is great choice with all the salads and falafel. Make sure to try a stuffed pistachio date with your coffee.

20/04/2025: Had our wedding here, dealt with Maurice from the beginning and he made everything so calm and easy it was brilliant! Very helpful and attentive to any requests made!
On the day everything was laid out beautifully and everything we asked for was given and more. The staff on the day were so attentive also and maid sure everyone was well looked after!
The food served was absolutely beautiful!! Soup was the best soup I’ve ever had and it was a vegetable! Every person who had it said the same!! The beef was melt in the mouth and the fish just fell apart beautifully!
I would recommend this venue to anyone considering a wedding with a difference! The views for photos on the balcony area are out of this world!!
Make the enquiry at least you won’t regret it!!! 🩷

26/04/2025: The toasted sandwich was unedible that the crust hurt my gums , tried to explain to staff and owner and he was very rude the side slaw was like slop and the chips were pure grease , owner was really rude not understanding the term customer is always right, I was giving him feedback and the owner and staff did not like criticism

27/04/2025: We were having a nice day trip to the seaside and decided to pick up some chips to add to our day. The chips here however were very under done and not really nice at all and when I say the salt and vinegar must have been wafted over the top because really there was basically none on the whole portion of chips. They also didn’t provide them in the counter for people to be able to add their own which was very disappointing and lead to us have very mediocre experience and honestly I wouldn’t go back as there is a few others to pick from down that one little road alone.

26/04/2025: Really enjoyed the pizza (Nduja). The right amount of toppings, a good chew, and the bottom had a crunch. At around 15 euro/pizza I thought it was good value
Staff were friendly and attentive.

11/05/2025: Stayed here for a night on a recent road trip. Older hotel but clean and comfortable with some charm. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast. Awesome location. Ample off-street parking, entrance is off Turkey Rd, saw the sign before we arrived so were able to park before checking in. Just saw it by chance, would be nice to have known ahead of time. Short walk to hotel. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Tramore (which we hope to some day).
22/04/2025: Some posts have described this hotel as tired, run down and in need of a facelift. True but I describe it as lived in. Its not luxurious but its more than adequate. Carparking is a short walk away, convenient enough. Its a great hotel right next to the water and very handy to the town centre, the strand and arcades plus nearby walks. Its dog friendly so full marks already. Zoe was allowed into the bar and dining room, albeit in a cosy corner. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The food is great too with good size servings, you won't go hungry! The room was comfortable although the bathroom is a little cramped. Tea/coffee making space is limited but we got by. The shower over bath was good, the bed comfy, so all in all full marks and no complaints. Happy to stay here again if we venture to this area.

The Donut Bar

20/04/2025: I leave sad if I don't get a chance to pop in when in Tramore. Chocolate donut with strawberries is always ordered, if its cold I might add cream, if its hot I might add ice cream. It can be very busy in the summer months but the staff work hard to keep things moving smoothly. Other delicious desserts are their crepes and milkshakes. What I love the most next to the donuts is the decor, it's bright and loud and reminds me of growing up in the 90s.

23/02/2025: The best churros ive ever had in Ireland, nothing could beat it. Crunchy and dip was good.
However the opening hours stated on google isnt the same as the store. Perhaps that could be updated. Came all the way from Cork, i should’ve called and check rather than just doing google search 🥺
