07/11/2025: Your coffee in Athlone has become awful. I mean, it tastes like water with coffee flavor added. You probably don't regulate the grind of your coffee; it tastes different every day. You probably don't care about that, meaning the quality. Besides, you often serve warm drinks in paper cups, citing a broken dishwasher on a note. But this happens too often; last time it lasted over a week. Is this out of laziness or miserliness with the cost of water? This was our favourite cafe in Athlone but we have now moved on to another one, which is a shame. We've also met other people who were disappointed with you. When will you offer us tasty coffee served in a porcelain cup again?

22/10/2025: Went up to a lady just to ask for directions and the disrespect she gave me actually had me jaw dropped i was shocked I was being spoken to so rudely, no manners and had such a smart mouth she obviously didnt wanna speak with me and had no interest rolling her eyes

10/08/2025: We have ordered a paw patrol cake for our sons 2nd birthday online and it was amazing. It looked exactly like the reference picture and it tasted really nice. Since they closed the office in Tullamore we had to pick up the cake from their shop in Athlone. We got the smallest square cake and it was still huge and quite heavy. It was a chocolate sponge and chocolate cream cake. It wasnt too sweet or tasteless. I wish there is an option to add forest fruits, sour cherries or other fruits. It would elevate the cake so much. Will definitely going to order a cake there again.

03/07/2025: Great quality food and good service. Best spicebox in the ireland imo 👌🏻not too much focus on the chicken and chips and with nicely seasoned vegetables too, but would be great if they brought back indoor dining, after all, lockdown is long over. Please do this, Sohos. It would be lovely to sit in at your restaurant again 🙏🏻 🥲❤️

21/10/2025: Called in this evening to make an order. I had a look at the menu on the counter and the big menu on the wall. I decided on Meal 1 - Any 8" Pizza + Any Side or Chips + Can which was advertised for €10. I was also going to order 2 dips at €1.50 each. Which would be a total of €13. The person behind the counter told me it would be €15. I queried as to the discrepancy in price and he told me that the deal only included chips and as I had requested wedges it would be a €2 supplement as wedges are expensive. (Sidenote, you can get a 1KG bag of wedges in Dunnes for €1.19) There is a full list of Sides on the menu which included, Garlic Bread, Onion Rings, Chips, Garlic Mushrooms,Potato Wedges, Swiss Cheese Wedges, Cheese Jalapenos, Jalapeno Balls and Chicken Nuggets. The advertised deal in store and on the printed menu state 8" pizza, any side or chips and a can for €10. I cant review the food as I was not going to be ripped off, I said I would get food elsewhere. The store either need to update their advertising or honour the printed deals. Also the price difference on the menu for sides between chips (€3.50) and wedges (€4.50) is only €1 so charging a €2 supplement is very outrgeous.

22/08/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I collected my order from Top Pizza Takeaway and everything was spot on. The pizza was hot, fresh, and packed with flavour. The base was perfect and the toppings were generous. Staff were friendly and had the order ready on time. Great value for money, I’ll definitely be back again.

27/10/2025: This is the third time I've got a takeaway from this place. Three times it's been bland and tasteless. I feel like I have been robbed. I could have cooked better myself. Never go there again.

26/06/2025: Very good and fresh fish. They were very fast. The workers and the owner are very kind and friendly. If you wanna try an original fish and chips go there.

03/05/2025: Lovely workers but I got one of the worst kebabs of my life in here. Ice Cold, I mean its like somebody took their leftovers out of the fridge from last night and gave them to me. All that I could taste in the kebab was lettuce... I cant fully even tell you what else was in there (It was a veg kebab, but jesus, I didnt order a freezing lettuce kebab).

04/10/2025: went in to get a nice sandwich, as we entered we were greeted okay but as we went on to order sandwiches the man serving us seemed like he was just trying to get rid of us as quick as he could , the subway was great now BUT there was a little piece of plastic in my roll also when asked for a little extra sauce on roll the man seemed to get agitated over that. wouldn’t recommend best of getting maccies 👍🏻

14/09/2025: Had pizza in westmeath before and none as good as this place! Im very fussy with pizza but Bethlehem pizza athlone is my favourite from now on, very impressed! Generous toppings, fresh and delicious!

15/06/2025: Got a few meals lastnight!!mixed kebab meal very little meat init was like pieces of chicken from a pack and no real tast from doner or chicken smallest kebab i ever got more sause than anything!!also got curry cheese chips warent great curry is not of good quality Only good thing was chicken burger and the plane chips are good Just think its over priced for the quality of food

12/09/2025: Deadly fish and chips! Chips always fresh. I’ve never had the food delivered however. The tall man in the shop might behave badly sometimes. His treatment of people is not the best. But his burgers with bacon and cheese surely are!

25/06/2025: A regular customer of Kens restaurant for takeaway. Absolutely horrified this evening when browsing the menu to order takeaway for the family to see main courses had increased by up to 4 euro. 17.50 euro for a thai green curry dish. An outlandish increase. Wont be ordering from Kens again after being a customer for years.

10/01/2025: The business was closed for three days last month. Weak pest control, open pipes and rat droppings led to a Westmeath take away being served a closure order last month. Take Away Express on Northgate Street in Athlone was issued the order on December 13th under the FSAI Act 1998, which was lifted three days later on the 16th. It was one of six food businesses across the country that was served a closure order by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland last month. The FSAI served 133 enforcement orders on food businesses in 2024, an increase of 45% from the 92 orders issued in 2023.

07/12/2025: We ordered pizza from apache pizza store, athlone.Even i called right after placed my order to make sure they delivered right and good condition pizza. Despite that, I waited more than an hour for my Apache Pizza order, and when it finally showed up, the pizza was cold and completely wrong. And this is not a first time…. Happening all the time. To make matters worse, the manager, Chand, was rude and offered no apology when I brought it up. There was no effort to correct the order or provide even basic customer service. The whole experience was unacceptable. I won’t be ordering again unless the staff learn to handle mistakes properly and treat customers with respect.

07/12/2025: Absolutely terrible experience. My order from Apache Pizza took over an hour to arrive, and when it finally showed up the pizza was cold and the wrong order. When I contacted the store, the manager — Chand — didn’t apologize at all. Instead, he was rude and dismissive, which honestly made the whole situation even worse. Between the slow delivery, incorrect food, and unprofessional customer service, this was completely unacceptable. I won’t be ordering here again. Never order pizza from here. Slow delivery, wrong food, and terrible customer service — not worth your money or time.
