21/07/2026: Nice food and polite staff, gives very much Chinese vibe.

05/07/2026: Got home with my order, absolutely tasteless. Chicken balls are so soggy. Ordered sweet and sour with the chicken balls and wasnt put in the bag. Ive had a few bad experiences with texture of chicken here and had being trying different dishes. Today I am finished ordering from here. Ate half of a chicken ball and the rest binned.

28/06/2026: i ordered mc crispy with cheese and bacon when we got it i opened it on the motor way doesnt have cheese or bacon only mayo and lettuce didnt have fizzy drink option only milksshakes and chips were really cold wouldnt recommend go for the one on motorway actually give you what u ordered this isnt the first time they have messed up my order last time il be coming.

09/06/2026: Let me begin this review by extending a massive bravo to the owners of McDonalds Athlone. What they have done with the place is nothing short of spectacular. When I first walked through the doors of the newly renovated McDonald's I was hit with a wave of childlike nostalgia. The new layout mixes the familiarity of the McDonalds of old with a breath of fresh air from a modern McDonalds. This service was impeccable with a waiter coming to ask if our succulent meal was up to standard (to which I responded with a resounding yes!). Me and my colleagues will most definetely be making a return. We have already started planning our next visit!! One of my colleagues told me that McDonalds actually invented happiness. So cool. I'm loving it!

03/01/2026: Best Chinese food I have ever tried in Athlone and maybe in my life. The service is great, the waitresses are very friendly, it's open until late at night, has good music in the background. We had satisfactory amount of food and the price is excellent, it's worth every penny.

03/08/2026: Kicked a group of us near 30 year olds out saying were too young, after taking orders, dont like groups of people clearly, very rude

09/06/2026: We were invited to go have a pint. The Guinness was great, the company fabulous, atmosphere perfect.

19/06/2026: Best pizza in Athlone by far. Dont be fooled by the new pizza place just opened in Tormey villas who have chosen the name Roma’s. It’s not nearly as good.

01/06/2026: Whatever you do don’t go, awful costumer service over charged me. I ordered a can of Coke and they made sure I paid but they never gave me the can. The pizzas dough was literally raw falling apart. Don’t go

09/08/2026: Tasty food but ordering is now done by tablet now and is not easy for older customers to navigate also cash doesn't seem to be accepted

08/08/2026: The only problem is parking at the kfc.

02/07/2026: all ways good . only time you will maybe have problems is at closing time . still good but you can taste the difference overly salty. but cant blame them as it was 10 min before closing + there was a group of kids giving them problems they had been there over an hour .shouting blocking the exit door trying to get under the staff skin . props to the staff for putting up with all that and still making food for the late comers

24/05/2026: Was recommended to come here as I like a lot of cuisines that they stock original food for. Got beef and chicken sausages and burgers made in house, very tasty. Owner and staff were genuine, chatty and helpful. Will be going back for more food treasures

14/07/2026: Fun place with loads of vegetarian/vegan options. Staff were great.

30/06/2026: Got a delivery off what's for dinner on Monday 29/06/26 and the food was terrible, very poor for this place, rock hard pizza, cold chips and cold onion rings, plus it took 2 hours to deliver

02/07/2026: Salt and Chilli Shredded Chicken + BBQ sauce to dip in . so good . the bbq sauce looks like sweet & sour sauce but still so good give it a try for your next starters

25/02/2026: A pathetic attempt at a Spice Bag. There's zero veg, there's no chili flakes, most of the chips have no seasoning, and there's very little chicken. The chicken is a mixture of chicken balls and shredded chicken. It was very difficult to distinguish between the chips and the shredded chicken.

03/07/2026: Good coffee selection and tasty treats. Have to say the staff are very friendly every time we go in. Chloe is mad about Harvey and a lovely new girl Abbie gave us a big smile. Love cafe nero.

02/08/2026: Was craving a frozen yogurt and Jump was my option. I asked for strawberry and granola toppings and I got a whole cup of frozen yogurt with ONE small strawberry cut in 6 pieces and half a spoon of granola… Usually a frozen yogurt is full of toppings, that’s the whole point… but oh well.

18/06/2026: I bought a take away Flat white on june18 morning. It was the worst flat white I have ever had. It tasted watery and weak / like reused coffee grounds. Very Disappointed. I wanted something to perk up my mood but this worsened it even more. Also the collection counter was sticky.

21/02/2026: Not much to say. It's perfectly brings the average Starbucks wuality and nearly the same atmosphere. Its a bit more open than a dedicated caffee shop specifically made for Starbucks. I really enjoyed my pistachio hot chocolate
