19/10/2025: Amazing food as good as I have had in a long time was here with the kids and they loved it very friendly and helpful staff.the only thing is the toilets need a bit of attention.but definitely would highly recommend it and will be back again soon.

10/11/2025: On our way to Galway, we stopped at this McDonald's. The atmosphere was friendly. We got a chicken wrap and a veggie sandwich. They were very good. We tried the veggie nuggets, which we really liked. It was cool that there were lots of different sauces than what we're used to: garlic mayo, red hot, sweet, and smokey BBQ. There are quite a few different types of wraps, which is great. The spicy nuggets are very good.

13/09/2025: We stopped here while on a tour to Galway. What a fun atmosphere! A bachelorette party arrived while we were there. So much fun we almost missed our bus to Galway! Pat gave us a hello and great service. Highly recommend!

21/08/2025: To all the staff in Maisie’s, from the door staff to the bar staff to the glass collectors and cleaners, you made my entire hen weekend an absolute blast. From the Friday night dancing , Saturday day activities upstairs and into Saturday night dancing , you made us feel so welcome. As a hen party you tend to be watching yourselves and trying to separate as a lot of places don’t like seeing a bunch of women coming(I get it) however ye are different… we got waved at and welcomed from the second we got over that bridge! You guys are absolute amazing. Ye are number 1 in Athlone by a country mile and I’ll be recommending this place to everyone and their nana!!!! And also - whoever that Dj was that ye had Friday 15th and Saturday 16th - he’s an absolute superstar on the decks! I can’t wait to come back!! From the Galway Hen ❤️

04/10/2025: This place has got the potential to be great. Coffee is good & made with care but the overall look and feel to the place is very tired. Doors hanging off cupboards behind the till area. Wall at the back also just looks tired. Water and coke cans in the sections in front of the till are dated (cans appear to be 2 years old judging by the graphic on them). Staff were not overly welcoming, lack of effort. I felt like the overall memo to the coffee shop should be to “take pride in your appearance”.

03/11/2025: We arrived Sunday evening around 9:30 pm on arrival we met a bouncer at the door. After greeting the bouncer at the door he asked what age me and my partner were. We replied, he had still not asked for identification after telling him both our ages he looked both of us up and down and refused entry because apparently we were not up to the dress code standard, his words (‘ I’ll be honest this isn’t our dress code lads’). Quite disappointed as we were in athlone for my partners birthday. Wear your suits and ball gowns if you’re thinking of visiting this venue. Just to confirm I was wearing black cargo pants and grey hoodie and my girlfriend a pair of Jeans and knitted cardigan and jacket not attire to be turned away from an average pub

28/07/2025: Extremely small chicken kebab for around 8 euro,it is smallest kebab I ever bought in my life. Not recommended

24/05/2025: I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived i was told I had to join a long queue. What is the point of calling in your order. No idea how to run a business. The food isn’t that good to wait 40 minutes! Rude staff. Would rather go to supermacs.

17/06/2025: Hi there I have seen your question regarding The Venue and I just wanted to say that I have attended the concert of "The year that grunge broke " previously at the Venue in Athlone town . I attended the concert with friends on the night and the concert lasted two hours.

23/11/2025: Had a terrible experience with the short security guard here — incredibly rude, unprofessional, and went out of his way to make the visit unpleasant. Completely unacceptable behavior and definitely needs better training in basic respect.

28/09/2025: I always visit O'Brien's in Athlone Town Center when in Athlone. The sandwiches are always beautifully made with high quality ingredients. The coffee is great too. This is the best O'Brien's I have been to, always so clean, from the food display to the clearing of the tables. I have always found a clean table to sit at and always enjoy my food. But most of all the staff are amazing, so friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. At this point they remember my regular order, goats cheese sandwich on gluten free bread with an Americano, I don't even have to ask anymore 😆 well done to the hard working staff.
