02/07/2026: One of those amazing moments yesterday where a random stop off the highway turns out to be perfect. Wonderful food and spectacular coffee in magical little spot next to the river. Best lunch we had in Ireland.

Possibly, due to the table felt ignored by waitstaff
But the food was very good.
12/06/2026: Food was average. Ambience was nice but they made us sit at the back even though there were plenty space in the main dining room, just because we didn’t have a booking.
I wouldn’t recommend going without a reservation. Pizza was just alright. The main pasta dish had chicken which was on the border of going bad.

05/05/2026: We had lunch for two here and it was lovely. The restaurant was very busy and we had a 10-15 min wait to be seated, despite how busy it was the staff were very well organized and efficient and our order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. There is ample parking to the rear and The Shack is well worth a visit.

02/07/2026: My experience at this cafe was excellent. The staff were so welcoming to me and my dog Alfie. They provided some treats, a water bowl and even a little mat for him to relax on. Alfie is a nervous dog and the staff were so kind, they went above and beyond. I had the mushrooms on toast breakfast which was so tasty and a lovely coffee too. I would highly recommend this cafe and most especially to anyone travelling with their dog.

24/05/2026: I got into the pub and the music was there. A lovely group playing a nice, smooth and evolving music, bodhrán included. Just great, believe it. As a plus, beef stew was tasty. It is a good place for a chilled talk and some drinks.
