The best restaurants in Mullingar

08/10/2024: Walking through Mullingar we fancied a bit of lunch after doing the greenway we came across this place. Definitely worth a visit for lunch. Staff were professional and very friendly. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

05/12/2024: First time ever in Spice India and I have to say what a fantastic place to eat. And our waitress Dominika was friendly, and very helpful fantastic young lady.We will definitely be back.

29/11/2024: My food was given to me without rice, despite me clearly ordering rice. Why would anyone order a meat with no rice? This is UNACCEPTABLE. I live 20 mins away from town so I can't be expected to drive 20 mins to get a replacement just because the staff wasn't bothered to fulfil my order. Now I have guests that can't have food because of the staff's abhorrent service. I have to throw the rest of the meal in the bin as a result. I will be escalating this matter to the small claims court to receive my refund for being scammed. I am NEVER coming back to this restaurant EVER again and I would advise anyone reading to avoid them also. *Edit: I find it interesting how the business owner replied to me with a rude and sarcastic reply after we called the business to complain - so if they had talked to their staff they would have proof this happened. The compensation we were offered was to drive 40 mins to get the rice, which is not feasible especially since the original food would be rancid by then

02/10/2024: Got a steak sandwich meal very well priced and was delicious service was fantastic! Ice coffee and milkshakes are good to would definitely recommend! 👍🏽

03/09/2024: Old school bar with great drinks, service, pool, and darts. Best breakfast in town. The chicken schnitzel burger is really beautiful. Very dog friendly.

20/11/2024: This place is a lovely cafe .New owners and all repainted.And alot brighter.Young lad on the counter hadn't a clue about anything and totally on his own.Q was building up behind me.And he was getting all flustered.Was asking a customer for times for the microwave. Eventually, he got the food together. .As he got all the orders mixed up and was serving takeaway people and left us completely waiting till he finished this.Yet i was there before all these people ordered .And we were also in a hurry....My friend wanted to walk out and get a refund as he was unable to cope. ...Now the quiche and salad I had was not great at all the pastry on it was absolutely dreadful.Hard and chewy and hard to cut into.Just bad pastry ..The salads were perfect and tasty. But very tiny portions.For the prices there charging. My coffee was perfect. Unfortunately, my friends were lukewarm.Which was promptly changed.The new owners were not here on the day we visited .

12/09/2024: A new cafe was recently re-opened. Welcoming and friendly staff. Varied choice of food. Delicious mocha.

12/07/2024: Seemed to be a decent place. We were at a beer festival in the back room, so don't know too much about the main bar. Was quiet enough early on, then filled up with a younger crowd as the night went on

28/10/2024: Fish and onion rings were fine, chips were dreadful. They were rock hard with no flavour. The place was also very cold.

16/10/2024: Best Traditional Cod and Chips I have had in many years. Was in Mullingar for 2 days of work related training, and Linos was around the corner from the hotel. Based on goigle reviews, I took a chance and didn't regret it. Lovely staff very friendly, and even though I was a stranger, the owner Lino was a pure gent to me when serving. Would highly recommend to all who are passing. I'm looking forward already to when I get the chance to call again.

14/10/2024: On way home. Got quarter pounder and curry chips. There was a wait but it was worth it. Fresh, hot delicious food. Staff were great but not inquisitive and a grateful ,thankful bye bye.

13/06/2024: The owner and workers were really sweet! We’re from out of town and stopped here across from our hotel and we truly enjoyed it, the sushi rolls were so big! I wish we could eat here all the time! The only reason we spent more was because we had more people, but it was very reasonably priced!

28/05/2024: the best place for sushi in mullingar i go here all the time. the service is always great and the sushi is always fresh, have never been disappointed. also great prices i can get so much and don’t have to spend too much money. would highly highly recommend!!!

30/10/2024: I went in and got a regular soup. It was nice and warm and the staff were nice. Prices are affordable.

24/10/2024: The coffee and wrap were lovely but the service was not friendly, the place is very dirty 😒. You had to order a large coffee to get a proper cup otherwise you get a paper one even sitting in. Although the food was nice it made me question how it was made after witnessing the unhygienic seating area, plus the staff took her hair down, played with it and then stood picking her nails ... I didn't witness any hand hygiene. Would not recommend.

30/10/2024: Overpriced to say the least!! Especially for what you get, never again. Didn't like the food at all but it at least it was fresh I suppose... won't be returning. Ph and a bit of heat wouldn't go amiss!!
