Kehoe's Pub & Parlour
Kilmore quay
12/12/2025: Four of us had food here the other day.I really enjoyed my trio of fish.It was so fresh. The others thought the food was just ok,except the chowder which was described as poor.
At the end of the night I asked the barman for a lge bottle of white lemonade. It cost €5 for a 1.25 litre.I thought this was a bit dear and he said well I can always keep it and make even more money selling dashes(I thought that was a little smart)Apart from him the staff were really nice. All the girls serving behind the bar and serving the tables were really good, made sure you were looked after and checked if you needed anything. They were also helpful in telling me about the area.
Next day Because of the barman and the quality of the food we had something to eat elsewhere. While the same price, the food was much better. The place is fine for a pint and a chat with the staff(the friendly ones) but Im sorry we forked out over €200 for food and drinks when we would have gotten better nearby.
03/12/2025: Great location, very nice bar, very good pint of porter

The Wooden House
Kilmore quay
29/08/2025: Can't say enough great things about Kilmore! Its in my top faves along with Bantry. Check out Mary Barrys and Quigleys for food/drink. The Wooden House was awesome! Some reviews almost scared me away but it was really great. The people next to us played music late, but thats not the fault of the establishment. They sounded like locals/Irish. We slept well. Comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom! Huge bang for the buck, was our cheapest stay for the week (vs Dublin/Cork/Bantry/Wicklow) and was my favorite as well! We had a great dinner at Mary Barrys, met some friendly locals, Róisín and her agreeable cousin. It'll definitely be on our list next trip!
23/08/2025: We booked for 3 mights. The room was big had a small kitchen a double bed and a very comfortable sofa bed.It also had a shared balcony with a lovely view of the ocean. We decided to stay an extra night and had to move rooms. The room was smaller but had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi bath.It had a small balcony where you could sit out.It had the most amazing view of Kilmore quay. Both rooms were spotless. The lady Samantha was very nice.We really couldn't fault the place.Did I mention the view from room 206😀.We will deffo return.

Coast Kilmore Quay
Kilmore quay
11/07/2025: This needs to be updated to full hotel, at the moment only doing b and b,fabulous food lovely breakfast, well maintained inside, lovely and professional staff, credit to them, hope one day we will see it to greatness, well done girls and thanks for a lovely stay
25/05/2025: Difficult! Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is delicious and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly.
But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a high-class hotel. The seating seems cheap, the ambiance lacks motivation, and the bar is a permanent fixture—including drunk and rowdy guests. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues.
It's a real shame.

Lick'd Ice Cream Parlour
Kilmore quay
10/08/2024: Great homemade Ice cream. Lots of choice and the people working there are so friendly. Great value for money
25/07/2024: Ice cream melted so fast I only could eat half of it. Taste was good I guess, but couldn't really focus on that...
