14/10/2026: Really nice goat's cheese salad and excellent service. As a herbal tea drinker, I'm so fed up of café's offering cheap brand, powdery tea bags for nearly €5. In Kate's café, I feel like I'm treating myself with a Java Republic Yunnan green tea and appreciate them for offering this brand. I love that me and my dog can sit in the outdoor area after our beach walk on Morriscastle. Highly recommend.

01/07/2026: We are on holiday in Blackwater and the Upton Court restaurant was recommended to us. We went last night, and we had a lovely evening there. Food was amazing, I had the chicken curry which I can say was the best curry I have ever had. My son had the burger which he loved and my daughter had the roast dinner, all followed by dessert which was also delicious. The staff were really lovely and very attentive. Definitely recommend!

14/06/2026: My partner and I called here for Sunday lunch today. I can honestly say it was the worst food we ever had. We sent back the fish as it was a mass of lumpy gunk and swapped for featherblade beef and this was even worse. The mash was in fact instant smash and mixed frozen veg. I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was what I can only describe as a bowl of vomit. Everything was from a packet. Our bottle of Pinot was a cheap bottle from the petrol station. The manager offered us dessert by way of compensation after we paid for our meal, which we obviously declined. So dissapointing...don't waste yoir precious leisure time or hard earned money.

31/05/2026: Unfortunately get sick 2hrs after eating pizza.

26/04/2026: Have had the food from Mario’s a few times now and never disappoints the staff are lovely and the service is quick and the food is well priced, I’d highly highly recommend the pizzas and chicken curry chips
