18/10/2025: Me and friend ordered a 10 euro spicebag. To our surprise, it arrived in a very shallow Styrofoam rectangle. This surprised us, as we're usually used to a bag filled with chicken, chips, onion, and peppers. We then opened the box and to our displeasure we found 8 pieces of tiny shredded chicken and chips that tasted like they've been sat out for weeks and soaked in old oil.
03/08/2025: Simple and straightforward, I stopped by for lunch with my boyfriend. It tastes like homemade food. I highly recommend it.

28/10/2025: This is a lovely restaurant and the food is amazing. Toilet area spotless and restaurant. Staff extremely friendly and helpful with choices of food. Takeaway extremely busy. If you are looking for a Table for Party or get together I would advise to call restaurant as they do have specific closing time.
17/08/2025: So disappointed this evening . I brought my family here this evening on my recommendation. I have had a decent meal before. Unfortunately I ordered Hong Kong style chicken which tasted like petrol . I informed staff that I could not eat it . They were quite rude and argued with my son in law when he was paying the bill. They said because they asked was everything okay at the start of the meal then they were not taking it off the bill, but when they asked I had not even tried the dish yet but said everything was fine, trying to be polite . I don’t normally write reviews but I am VERY disappointed in the staffs attitude this evening. Will not be returning. Shame as I have liked this restaurant before.

Farmers Kitchen Lounge

20/01/2025: Decided to visit following a recommendation from family and this was easily the best meal of our trip. The wife had the salmon and I had the lamb tomahawk. Unfortunately, although the lamb was cooked perfectly, the veg that came with the dish had a lot of water at the bottom which is my only complaint.
I will add that the staff were fantastic providing some of the best service we have received in a long time.
We will visit again when we are next in the area!
23/09/2024: First time we stopped off here, on our way to ferry.
Great food and reasonably priced.
My husband and I both had the turkey and ham dinner, large portions
very tasty.
Staff pleasant and friendly.
Will definitely return when in the area.

06/07/2025: No hot food after 3 which is a pity. Lovely surroundings though. Hope to try again at some stage.
Place is pet friendly on the terrace.
02/06/2025: Stopped for a bank holiday lunch for family of 6 . Menu options limited - lasagne and chowder on menu not available . Roast of the day was beef - @ 17.50 , mash carrots and parsnips and a chunk of gravy coated roast beef presented. Beef absolutely inedible , extremely tough . We watched another table struggle to cut it also . We alerted the waitress twice to the fact it was inedible , she apologised but no alternative was offered . As we had prepaid there wasn’t an opportunity to discuss again . So disappointed and not cheap for self service .

05/11/2023: I asked for the most halal original Middle East kebab and I got the most horrible like the chipset dogs food dish . The woman who works there laughed at me so I don’t know maybe she like to have dog food for the dinner ! My kebab was disgusting chicken meat with skin and that’s all there was nothing else . They didn’t even bother to add some salad like lettuce tomato or onion , I waisted my money and I think that this place its a joke seriously!! Even Chinese cuisine it’s better !! Guys don’t even bother to go there ! This place should be closed
