The Avon
Blessington
03/06/2025: I can only give feedback about the houses. They are mostly in good condition. 3 rooms with en suit bathrooms. Nice spacious kitchen with dining room and living room all in one space but nicely set up. Avon is situated near a lake and has beautiful views. Many places to take a walk, for example the forest around the lake. Also places to see. There is a cafe and food court on the premises. There is also security, which is good.
29/05/2025: Gorgeous place to come
For a walk or bite to eat, parking is very expensive. Didn’t stay overnight just visiting for the lake views

Brew Twenty One
Blessington
07/05/2025: My favourite coffee shop ever! Really clean, spacious but cosy environment. The food and drinks are always top tier. Staff are super friendly! Suitable for kids also which is always a winner!! And a lovely outdoor area with water available for dogs! They have thought of everything!!
03/04/2025: To much noise in the cafeteria, i ordered Chai Latte and the young barista with blue eyes gave me a Skinny latte, i tried to correct the order by saying i ordered a Chai Latte but he aggressively said "NO, you ordered a Skinny latte". I Felt abit uncomfortable so i just took the skinny latte and walked out.

Moody Rooster Café
Blessington
27/04/2025: Just overpriced to be honest and the portions are too small
24/04/2025: Seems very popular with locals and visiting people.Such a pity locals let their teenage kids sit outside and spill their sticky drinks and their crisp bags and pops on the ground .There is a bin 15 ft away.Their parents didnt bother to teach them manners.
Awful to see when going shopping in Dunnes in the eveni g.

Hennessy's Bar and Lounge
Blessington
04/05/2025: Hadn't been in this pub in decades and it was like walking back in time in a lovely way. This and Hennessy's hardware has really stood the test of time, a hundred years to be precise and both are a credit to them. The highly experienced and professional bar tender trained in the landmark Downshire Hotel many moons ago so he knows his stuff and is a credit to Hennessy's bar making a strong presence in commanding the house.
It was quite when I visited but the cosy seating arrangement hubs are still the same. Lovely bar, great family and lovely clientelle.
May they have another hundred year's of generational success.
Thank you.
Kind regards.
08/01/2025: Cozy lounge, great atmosphere, great staff and a good pint too. Dropped in with my Son as we were in the area, he said he definitely wanted to go back.

Spice Village Indian Restaurant
Blessington
15/05/2025: Have had food h many times here ,enjoy it ,but something has changed as went for site down meal and after 20mins waiting and going and asking for a menu I gave up and walked out ,more interested in take away than people who want to dine in
12/05/2025: I'm very sorry that I can't give less than 1 star.
This place shouldn't be called a restaurant.
Came back again after few years of first disappointment.
Nothing better.
I had to wait at an empty table for over 30 minutes after placing my order.
No ordered drinks or complimentary snacks.
Very slow service.
Got my bottle of Cobra beer (€5 for sml bottle?) together with portion of pappadams and my starter at the same time.
I love Indian food but food in this place that's disaster.
Chicken mango curry taste like dessert
( extremely sweet), lamb curry a bit better except the rubbery meat.
Small portions of curry very expensive with no rice included.
Small cup of rice ( not enough for adult)
extra €3.50.
Pan fried naan bread looks more like roti or chapati very skinny and flat.
Staff nor very friendly and not helpful at all.
Our table was very messy, full of empty, unused and unwanted plates and glasses.
The waiters didn't bother to remove them before they start serving our food and didn't clean the table when we finished.
If I ordered dessert, I would have to hold the plate on my lap.
At 10pm waiter told us that if we need anything else we have to order now as kitchen will be closed at 10.30pm.
10 minutes later I asked him if I can get 2 mango lassi for take away but he refused and said it was too late. Seriously?
For 1 starter, 2 mains+ rice, small kids portion of curry and couple soft drinks had to pay over €80. I went home still a bit hungry.
I won't go there again.

Tikka Take Away
Blessington
16/04/2025: The takeaway options in Blessington are below par at best and we said we’d try tikka for something different, hoping we would eventually find some (flavour).. they only took cash, had to go get cash and come back.. we got a spice box..then we got home and opened it.. we knew straight away it was going to be atrocious. No colour to the chicken, 6-10 pieces at max, which was very scarce, a million chips though. So there was no veg, the usual pepper, onion etc you would expect.. but absolutely overloaded with salt. We ate 2/3 bites and had to bin the rest. They need to look at how average/ good takeaways season/prep they’re food because in all honesty this was very close to the worst I have eaten. I will never go back nor will neighbours who say they avoid this place.

Lemon Tree
Blessington
25/04/2025: Ate her with friends this week, service was really good a very pleasant girl looked after us and she was very welcoming and looked after us. Unfortunately the food was not great the chicken seemed tough and the sauce on the mains just tasted like sugar or that it came from a jar. The chips were not nice at all and my friends dinner just tasted of salt, I dont think we will be back here again.
01/01/2025: All the pub grub' venues had finished up at 6pm/7.30 on New year's eve so I chanced the Lemon Tree. Beautifully decored restraunt and I was greeted warmly in being seated at a requested table for one.
I got a small portion of chips, rice, curry sauce and a mineral.
Really lovely setting and location that opens late for either dining in or collecting a takaway.
I'll definitely visit again.
Happy new year and thank you.

Maxol Service Station Blessington
Blessington
18/03/2025: Very nice Maxol.
Thoughtfully laid out and well stocked given that it is quite small.
One star removed because of the card machine fuel pump does not work. This is a pain in the rear, especially after hours and motorists are both stuck and mislead.

The Big Blue Bus
Blessington
30/06/2024: The place is quite good, the pizzas are a little expensive for the size, but they taste good. They attended to us in Spanish despite being in Ireland, the service was very good. The atmosphere is the best of all, to be with friends it is phenomenal; They have ludo and two XXL sized jengas, very fun.
13/04/2024: I highly recommend this great place
