27/03/2025: Our work culture club of six recently dined at La Piazza in Bray, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or colleagues. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We started with chicken wings and salad—both fresh and well-seasoned. For mains, we tried a variety of dishes, including wood-fired pizzas and pasta. Every dish was flavorful, made with high-quality ingredients, and served in generous portions. The wine selection was impressive, and the staff was helpful in recommending pairings. The ambiance was lively yet cozy, allowing us to enjoy great conversations. Overall, La Piazza offers delicious, authentic Italian food at reasonable prices with excellent service. We will definitely be back.

02/05/2025: Very disappointing experience – poor customer service and broken promises I booked a table for 14 people for my daughter’s First Communion at 6:30 PM and paid a €50 deposit in advance. When we arrived, the staff told us our reservation was actually for 7:00 PM and made us wait outside for over 30 minutes, despite the prior agreement. After our meal, we wanted to order more snacks and drinks, but instead, they brought us the bill without asking or informing us—claiming the table was needed for other guests. However, there were clearly no new guests waiting. It felt like we were being rushed out. This was a special occasion, and I expected much better service. Unfortunately, they let us down with poor communication and a lack of consideration. I would not recommend this place for important events

01/05/2025: I visited this lovely Indian restaurant in Bray again but with my daughter this time and had a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. We started with some excellent starters, Lamb chops & Chicken wings (perfectly cooked and well-spiced), followed by a delicious lamb mince main for myself and a wonderfully creamy curry for my daughter, which she absolutely loved. What made the visit even more special was speaking with the maître d’, who turned out to be another daughter in the family that runs the restaurant. It was a really nice surprise, as I’ve been well looked after in the past by her sister at the Glasthule and Blackrock branches. It’s clear that this is a close-knit, passionate family who really care about their food and their guests. Service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the quality of the food was top notch. Highly recommended – especially if you appreciate genuine hospitality and authentic Indian cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!

25/04/2025: Cute cafe, lovingly decorated, great atmosphere! The food is very, very good and the prices are more than just reasonable. Extremely nice, friendly, and accommodating owners. I've had lunch here several times, but I highly recommend it any time of day.

05/04/2025: Love this place. This is a particular type of cafe, it’s simple and old school, you won’t get a fancy modern complex dishes here. You will get an excellent cooked breakfast, slightly gruff and friendly staff, and big lovely portions. For what this place does, it’s absolutely excellent and long may it last.

12/04/2025: Food was excellent. Service was very good, even though 2 mistakes were made but they were quickly rectified. Finally we ordered 2 double espresso. What we were served, was not espresso, it was weak instant or percolated coffee and for €8. What was otherwise excellent was spoiled at the end.

18/04/2025: Room was small, and furniture placement made it feel cramped. The attached pub downstairs did not have a traditional Irish feeling (but at least it had a dart board). Close to the beach. 45 minute drive to airport in morning weekday traffic.

18/03/2025: Excellent performance as always from John Spillane from Passage West in Cork. A unique artist and raconteur. The accolades are well deserved. First time in the Mermaid, but hopefully, it won't be my last. Great theater and facilities.
