Fantastic place for food and entertainment. Highly recommend the pokey bowl and the chicken curry.

Great all day breakfast menu. Good live music, big terrace area with screens for matches. Great location.

I wanted to try national Irish cuisine in Galway and here I succeeded. The portion was huge. I enjoyed it. The establishment has a very beautiful open air area. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo.

An Púcán may seem like a small restaurant from the outside, but the impression is deceptive: inside it is surprisingly large and inviting. We particularly liked the lovingly designed toilets with their eye-catching jungle pattern - a real eye-catcher! The menu offers a wide range of dishes, so there is something for every taste. I ordered the “An Púcán Trio,” a combination of pasta with basil pesto, a small bowl of chowder, and chips. The ability to freely vary the three components is a great idea. For €10 you get a filling and varied dish that I really enjoyed. My partner tried the “Irish Breakfast for Vegetarian” which cost around €13. Everything except the tomatoes was delicious, and the fresh toast was a perfect complement. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and always present, which reinforced the positive impression. Overall, An Púcán impresses with good food, friendly service and a unique ambience. The tomatoes in the breakfast were a small drawback, but that hardly spoils the overall impression. 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit!

It's the pub that just kept on giving. Huge sports area great music.

One of the most popular Gastropubs in Galway. Can be crowded, but worth it.

Hands down, the best meal we've had in Ireland! The Irish coffee was divine. Friendly staff and lovely live music made for a truly unforgettable evening! We highly recommend it! R x

We had heard this pub had early live music (6pm) so we arrived at 5:30 and got great seats very close to where the musicians were setting up. After listening to the music, we moved to a back room of the pub where food was being served. We all ordered food from the waitress (who was not very friendly to any of us) and were pleased to see that American football was being shown on almost all of the TVs (on. Sunday). The food itself was pretty decent and judging by the number of diners was very popular.

Ok so literally feel like I’m at a high school prom.. get the drinking age is younger than the US but seriously .. this is not the place to go unless you are 25 and under (im 43) . All cover music- band was great though
