Visited November 2024. This place is fantastic! Food, service and atmosphere were terrific. They use mostly local ingredients and decor. The "Irish cocktail" pairing was different than most Michelin pairings and very good. They gave me a signed cookbook at the end of the night.

Magic is real, and JP McMahon is a sorcerer. He created things we still can't wrap our heads around. Things that melt in your mouth or look like something else entirely.
Aniar serves art shrouded in love. You can taste how much the chef loves his country and tries to show appreciation to all the beauty Ireland has to offer.
The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but the inside is captivating, showcasing elements of the ingredients being used. His staff is kind, welcoming, and absolutely charming. They really made our night even more special.
Experiencing Aniar was a marvel that will stay with me, in my heart, forever. It encapsulates everything Ireland is and more. The kindness, the stories, the enthusiasm to share culture. We are so very grateful to have been a part of it.
Thank you, Team Aniar. We are touched.

This place is incredible and the gastro experience awaiting anyone who goes there is out of this world. Each plate is more unique and intriguing than the last. The staff explain the dishes with pride and are happy to answer any questions. The wine menu is excellent also. Thank you Alicia for being so friendly and taking us through all our questions.

Had a lovely celebration dinner here. Venison was like butter, the potato course was sublime, all 24 ( yes 24 ) courses were balanced and perfectly judged with the lovely additions of foraged titbits. The maitre d was brilliant orchestrating the entire event. The 3 and half hours passed seamlessly . Well worth a special celebration.

Better than French Laundry.
Better than La Bernardin.
They take tasting menus to a whole other level and manage to make it accessible and fun.
Everything about this experience was on point.
Great wine pairings as well as Irish drink pairing.

There's a very calm quality to this restaurant. My wife has a shellfish allergy, so on booking I had alerted them.
We each enjoyed 24 creative courses ( hers without the shellfish)
Unusual for a restaurant of this quality, they offer corkage if you wish to bring your own wine. They source all the ingredients locally & everything is seasonal.
A standout meal in a beautiful city.
