My daughter and I stopped here after an afternoon exploring Adare’s quaint streets - the perfect end to our outing. We were immediately greeted by a waitress who made up for her short stature with an abundance of friendliness. She was quick to put our minds at ease when we expressed we were worried about not seeing gluten free options on the menu.
We asked about the soup of the day, and when she noticed my daughter looked a bit unsure about a curried vegetable soup, she offered to bring a sample so that she could taste and see if she liked it before we committed to it. It was even better than she said it would be. She was also the first waitress we’ve had understand what we mean when we asked for ‘loads of butter.’ I’ve never had such well-buttered bread in a restaurant before.
We had a wonderful experience here, and I can’t wait to bring my husband.

Great food and service, but the live music needs to be improved, in my opinion it's not usually good.

Missed the old staff and background music is depressing. Bring back the party atmosphere.

Aunt Lena's Pub is an institution in Adare, County Limerick. Truly, it is a LOCAL pub in one of the prettiest villages in Ireland. It has been named the "Irish Pub of the Year" in Ireland in 2023. Visitors will find patrons of all ages here. Suggest that tourists should blend into the local scene. Menu is pub food. The craic is grand so if you do not like noise this may not be the place for you. Often, there is live music in the backroom. Please enjoy.

Was over for St Pats for 4 nights, and this was first night of eating out, love my chowder so this was the first of three I tried in Co Limerick. Well again a superb place to come, nice atmosphere, lovely pub as all Chawke Pubs are I have visited, Searsons, Bank, Oval etc, well service was great by all waitresses who looked after us, surprised it was so busy, but then again they give you a lovely irish welcome. Well to my chowder, texture of it, was nice and thick nice & creamy, but am afraid it was more a Vegetarian Version, had 3 Prawns in it, couple bits of Cod, NO MUSCLES, plenty of Veg…. Carrots especially that I despise & Potato’s, so out of all Chawk Pubs I have been to over the years, this was not so great…I think possibly the worst of all of them, and a few other restaurant/Pubs I have had them from.
The wife had Fish & Chips, and she thoroughly enjoyed it, nice bit of Cod, cooked well very enjoyable.
Sister had Beef stew she enjoyed hers, and her son had the chicken Burger, and he was happy with that.
I then had a Pudding the Pear & Almond Tart, again thoroughly enjoyed this, but downer was the chowder, NO muscles, and more Veg than Seafood. So could of been a 4-4.5 rating but Chowder let down
