26/08/2026: Incredible food, the bacon and cabbage was legendary, I will be dreaming about that meal for a long time. Additionally the Guinness was on point as all Guinness in Ireland is, this is a great spot to stop in for a bite and a pint when in Adare, 5 stars at least!

28/05/2026: Revisited the Woodlands with the IMET retreat. It has become an annual event and I love it. I look forward to the hotel, the bedroom, the food, the grounds, the spa ... It's just magic. 15/07/2026: Stopped in Adare on the way to Kerry for lunch with the kids. We were given a bar menu rather than the menu shown on the website. The waitress didn't seem to be listening to our order and had to come back to confirm what we had asked for. We ordered the kids' pasta and kids' burger. The pasta was simply an adult-sized portion of plain pasta with a tiny side of what tasted like jarred pasta sauce no more than two or three tablespoons to mix in. The kids' burger had to be sent back twice. The first time, both the bun and burger were burnt. It came back with a fresh bun but the same burnt burger, suggesting they had simply swapped the bun. We sent it back again. For the adults, we ordered the buffalo wings, truffle fries, and lamb stew. The truffle fries were alright. The buffalo wings were submerged in an oddly sweet sauce with peppers that tasted more like a Thai-style curry than buffalo sauce. The lamb stew was pale and looked like it had come from a pre-made packet. The broth had the thick, gloopy consistency of the filling from a tinned pie, as though it had been heavily thickened with cornflour. The total came to €58, which felt very poor value for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. I'd recommend saving your money and eating elsewhere.

25/08/2026: It's a small place, but with so much charm and character. Perfect for a leisurely stroll, enjoying the scenery, and discovering a bit of the most authentic Ireland. 🇮🇪✨

22/08/2026: Great value, staff very friendly. €10 each includes parking, bus to castle and guided tour. Tour was approximately 1hr. Our guide Maria was very friendly and engaging with stories and general knowledge on the castle. Definitely recommend.

19/07/2026: This Michelin Guide restaurant itself is located in a stunning, postcard-perfect thatched cottage that captures the magic of Adare village beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings and the food, but the highlight of the meal was for me was definitely the French Onion soup, so rich and indulgent!

09/08/2026: Really disappointed with this place, looked nice from outside. Went in and was waiting so long for a menu, had to stop a member of staff to ask for a menu. Got lunch then same again happened with menu for dessert, had to ask again for menu as was waiting for a long time and the staff member forgot to give us the menu, had to ask again for it. Dessert arrived and the table wasn’t cleared from lunch so we had to eat with all of that on our table. No spoon or napkins given with the dessert. Had to ask for these also. Overall very disappointed.

09/08/2026: I always really enjoy coming here. There’s such a welcoming atmosphere and you can see how much care goes into the place. Petra is a fantastic host — so hardworking, friendly and always doing her best to accommodate everyone, even when it’s busy. She really goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and looked after. Always a pleasure to visit and I look forward to coming back!

09/08/2026: Cafe Logr is an absolute joy to behold. The food is consistently excellent and the staff are always courteous and helpful. Their breakfasts are delightful and also very healthy. We love coming at weekends for brunch but they also do a fantastic lunch menu throughout the week. Highly recommend.

07/05/2026: The Dunraven hotel is an incredibly beautiful old hotel located right on the main street in Adare. Really enjoyed the large bedroom and large bathroom. All the rooms are this way which makes it very easy to relax and unwind. I would have to say that our hotel room is easily twice the size of a typical European hotel room.
