Austies Pub & Kitchen in Rosses point

Delicious food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. We had lunch in the main bar with our dog and it was very special. Our kids said the garlic bread and chicken tenders were the best they had ever had :) Fish & Chips was fantastic. We loved Austies and hope to come back soon.

We had my husband’s birthday party dinner here at the weekend. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Lorna and Laura were exceptional hosts and very attentive. The food was amazing. Fisherman’s pie, chowder, prawns, pizza, captain’s chicken were all delicious. The chips were a choice of skinny or chunky. They were both amazing. I had a special prawn stir fry which was to die for. We were stuffed by the end of it. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will be returning.

We had the best Fisherman’s pie. The place was packed but they squeezed us in and service was friendly and quick.

If you are in Rosses Point and don’t stop by Austie’s Bar, I worry about your life choices. Big shoutout to Laura, she just handed me a loaf of Guinness bread out of nowhere and was always....always happy to lend me a cigarette when I needed one :). Absolute legend. And then there’s Noel and his dog Sailor, those two are the heart and soul of the place. You can’t help but smile when they’re around. You don’t have to say much to feel at home. Everyone there is friendly and easygoing. It’s the kind of place where you walk in as a stranger and leave feeling like part of the family. I loved every minute and can’t wait to be back, sitting at the bar with a pint and great company.

After not visited here for years ( we live away from Sligo now but visit regularly ) Wow from start to finish this was great. Booking was friendly and welcoming. We arrived with an extra person in our party and were accommodated. Service was superb throughout from Laura and the other staff. Food was excellent. We were a family with a mix of age from 9 to 90 with differing food tastes. We ate a wide array from the menu and all were extremely pleased with our dishes. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. We will be back. Thank you.

We were staying up the road at the campsite and came here on a Friday night for a few drinks. Great pub and great craic and the owners John and Lorna were so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing young ladies trying their best serving food explaining specials taking orders wearing masks maybe shields would be better.. food was good drinks excellent prices normal 😷 Back again tonight and it’s super busy.. Back again this evening Saturday 26/07/2025 fantastic food cooked so fresh 😎

Most homely pub ever, lovely locals, generous owners, dog friendly, amazing!

Great spot for casual dining. Food is excellent, staff are really efficient, friendly & work really hard to keep all customers on track. We loved the friendly atmosphere & no hassle attitude from the staff.

Delicious, reasonably priced food. Excellent attentive & accommodating service. Beautiful view of Rosses point.We enjoyed soup, homemade Guinness bread & fisherman’s pie & haddock. Amazing dining experience!
