A gem in Dunmore. The food is absolutely delicious. Went back for a second night and will be certainly returning when we come back to Dunmore.

Absolutely amazing food and such lovely staff. Would highly recommend. I was only disappointed that I was too full from the pizza to get dessert! Menu is more Italian than some of the menu photos online

First visit for a sit in meal (had got takeaway pizzas before) and it was delicious. Fresh delicious food, good atmosphere. Will be going back again.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. I’d definitely recommend if going out with a big family. the service was great and when my food came later than my other family members I got a free drink and they were very apologetic about it. I got the kids pesto spaghetti and prawns and the portion was perfect as it wasn’t too big or too small. 10/10 restaurant.

The Strand Inn

28/05/2026: Visited with my family for food and drinks only, not the hotel stay. The location and views are absolutely beautiful — on a sunny day it genuinely felt more like being somewhere in Spain than Ireland. The atmosphere and seaside setting are definitely the highlight of this place. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the location. The prices were quite high for the quality received — for example, the fish of the day with chips was €23 and quite disappointing. We also had to ask twice for additional drinks and the order was still ignored, which made the experience frustrating. Overall, a lovely place for the views and atmosphere, but the food and service need improvement.
