07/03/2026: I spent a two-week stint here on business, and would likely stay here again.
First and foremost, my room was in excellent condition when I arrived, both in cleanliness and wear. The bathroom was modern, and kept slightly warmer than the room, owing to a heated towel rack and heated mirror. The bed was firm but comfortable. I'm generally one that has issues with hotel beds and pillows and found this arrangement particularly comfortable. The room does fairly well isolating noises, and even kept the train noise situated maybe 100 meters away to a very dull level.
If there were any desires, a small refrigerator would have been handy for keeping drinks cool. With the knowledge that my room had a master disconnect switch with the room key, it would understandable that a fridge would not be a feasible addition. The room was also radiant heat with no forced air. I found myself reducing the thermostat setting back to 18°C or less and opening a window for comfort at times. The housekeeping service also seemed to be somewhat inconsistent. While the bed was made up every day, the towel(s) that I left on the floor every other day were collected and inconsistently replaced. I was without a sink towel for several days. Other supplies seemed to come and go. Deficiencies were more noticeable on the weekends when there was higher occupancy. Nonetheless, the make-up of the room each day had its peculiar idiosyncracies, sometimes requiring me to reset a couple aspects to my preferences.
The hotel features a fine dining restaurant and a breakfast/lunch cafe, both in good quality. There is also a full à la carte breakfast available in the morning. Supplementing this, there are plenty of establishments in Maynooth that are within a very short walking distance to choose from to vary your menu choices.
Parking was sometimes a bit challenging, especially when occupancy increased over the weekends. This was exacerbated by spots blocked off for construction work, as well as a public membership fitness centre integrated into the hotel. Nonethless, I was always able to eventually find a spot, though it required walking all the way back to the front entrance to reach my room that was near the very back of the building. A key-carded entrance at the back of the facility would be a welcome addition.
I found the staff here, for the very most part, warm and willing to help, often being greeted in passing.
Overall, I had a comfortable and pleasant stay during the weekdays, with perhaps a slight bit of hassle and noise to contend with on the weekends. This establishment would rank near or at the top of my choices if I need to stay in the area again in the future.
