Bombay Palace in Cork

Second time at Bombay Palace and it was just as good as the first. Great food, lovely atmosphere, with friendly, welcoming staff. We shared the Indian snacks, it had lots of variety and the onion bhaji was my favourite. The Murg Makhni was rich and tasty, and the Lamb Biryani had great flavour and spice. Generous portions too, you won’t leave hungry. Definitely coming back!

We went on a Saturday night, the restaurant was full, so a very good atmosphere. Food was good, though a bit disappointed with the Niwari curry, on the version of the menu we were given it said it was made with cashew nuts which is a great curry ingredients, but there was no cashew nut in this. Later I see on Google maps bobmbay palace has another version of the menu, saying that their Niwari curry ingredient is almold nut.( not as good an ingredient- and wasn't named as such on the menu we were given). I just felt this dish was missing flavour and texture. The rest of the food was very good.

Went over to cork for the weekend and found this lovely curry house, staff great and food amazing

One of the best Indian restaurants in Cork! I highly recommend the samosa and onion bhaji; you can truly taste that they’re made from scratch. The masala tea is another highlight, also freshly prepared. The garlic coriander naan is one of the best I’ve ever had. Loved the prawn curry ❤️. The ambience is beautiful, and the staff are absolutely lovely. Highly recommended!

It is a shame the food did not match the service. Whilst the latter was friendly and attentive the former was at best disappointing. We ordered two different chicken curries - one had the appearance of straight up bits of chicken breast briefly immersed in a sweet tomato sauce, with a meagre hint of spices. A well made curry should have a layer of discernible flavours - mace, methi, fresh coriander to name but a few. This curry had one layer - sweet tomato - and that did not taste properly cooked. The other dish was not radically different. The veg pilau rice was very good, the garlic naan excellent - such a shame the curries were so...boring and uninspiring.

The food was very good and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The décor is unpretentious but comfortable and relaxed. I would definitely go again and don't hesitate to recommend it.

I visited recently on my own, as it was mid week the restaurant was quite. The food was excellent! Service was quick, helpful and friendly. Recommended!

Llegué tarde un domingo por la noche y fueron acomodados rápidamente. Bonita bandeja de pepinillos, aunque NO chutney de mango o pepinillo de lima. Se servían tuberías calientes y porciones de buen tamaño. Servicio durante la comida fue atento.
