Bon Appetit in Malahide

Staff are lovely here. The food was ok. The burrata and croquettes were very tasty. For the mains we had the sea bass tempura which is fish and chips with mushy peas which was fine. The batter wasn’t very light and the peas were dry. The chips were delicious although the last third were too salty to eat. My friend had the vegetarian tart. The pastry was too hard to cut and the filling was too salty for her. She has high blood pressure and would have liked a choice about the amount of salt on her food. In this day and age I think that’s expected. We have our feedback which was taken very graciously. We also noticed that the dado rail and lamp next to us were thick in dust. We wouldn’t go back even though the staff are great.

Went before a gig. Service was a little crazy due to the crowd in before the gig. Good value though

We started with crispy duck wings for the adults—perfectly cooked, rich in flavour, and a real crowd-pleaser. For the younger ones, the chicken and chips were a big hit—simple, fresh, and well-prepared, exactly what the kids wanted. For mains, the adults enjoyed a lovely choice of succulent lamb and fresh fish dishes, both beautifully cooked and presented. The kids were delighted with their steaks, cooked exactly to their liking. It was clear that both the adult and children’s menus were given the same care and quality. 🍸 Drinks & Service The wine list was excellent, and we also enjoyed a few beautifully mixed cocktails. Throughout the meal, the staff were attentive without being intrusive—always making sure everything was just right. 🏡 Atmosphere & Setting The setting was perfect for a family celebration—elegant but relaxed, with a lovely private space that made the event feel intimate and personal. The charming Georgian townhouse setting gave everything a special touch. 👍 Final Thoughts Bon Appetit gave us the perfect setting to celebrate an important day for our family. Delicious food, fantastic service, and a welcoming atmosphere—we couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations.

Couldn't hear. Acoustics very poor. Food fussy but not great flavours

We dined in Bon Appetit in Malahide last Saturday evening. My daughters brought me as a birthday gift. Just read some bad reviews and our experience was very good on our visit. I have dined here a few times over the years and never had a complaint. The serving staff were young but I found them excellent and very friendly. The food was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals, we shared four desserts between five of us so we sampled the full dessert menu and we loved all of them. Great coffee.

What can I say. We can an exceptional experience here. The food was fantastic, the staff were so friendly. We mentioned it was our anniversary and we got a lovely message on our dessert, a really personal touch. The beef bourginoun was melt in the mouth, absolutely delicious. My fiancé asked for a drink that they didn't have at the bar, rather than tell us no they went to their sister restaurant adjoining them at the back to source it there. We will most definitely be back!

Amazing food and Aisling was an absolute delight! Even though the menu was different than we expected she walked us through and was so patient with us and checked in with us regularly. Thank you so much 😊
