Nice hotel. The rooms were warm, cozy, tastefully decorated.
The food was a bit below our expectations, but the portion size was generous.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The lounge bar is very old world, has great character to it.

Caseys hotel in Baltimore is one of the most unique stays you can possibly make. Unbelievable service from a family run hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfy with stunning views of the west Cork scenery. The location is within a minute drive/ 5 minute walk to Baltimore village where you can enjoy a pint by the harbour in Bushes. One last thing - eat the tempura prawns as frequent and as often as you can. They are not to be missed!!! We will be back.

Fantastic suite number 30. With the best view of the bay and the shipwreck. The breakfast was magnificent. Black pudding and white pudding. A full Irish breakfast is a must. It was great that we got a score card for the road. The best I've ever had. Thank you for the perfect start to our honeymoon. We saw two Baskin sharks feeding from the cliff.

Great bar and restaurant with the beer garden in the back great on a sunny day. Hiwever, I wasn't blown over by the seafood chowder the last time. It wasn't that creamy like im used to, it was more watery than anything.

Generally I was disappointed with my experience at Casey's especially as it was over €200 for one night B&B.
The room was in the 'Lodge' which looks like a badly renovated red bungalow next door to the main hotel - see photo. Granted it was relatively quiet considering the main road was a few yards away. The bedroom was at the back of the building. The bed was comfortable. I was not convinced about the build quality of the lodge - e.g. the door handle on the bathroom was starting to fall off. The large bathroom window (which faces the road) had an opaque plastic film on it which looked like it too was about to fall off - hopefully when one is not sitting on the toilet!
The temperatures were near zero when we returned to our room at about 20:00 - it was very disappointing that the room was like a fridge. It transpired there was a problem with the heating. An electric heater was then provided. The bathroom was cold even when the heating worked.
The breakfast was pretty functional - the cooked breakfast had the look of something that had been deep-fried in one go, with the black pudding as solid as a gobstopper! Service was friendly and efficient.
Generally it was all ok, but I would not go back.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The reception is small and old but the corridors and room were beautifully renovated and decorated. The bed is comfy, the room airy and the bathroom spotless. We went to get coffee the next morning an hour after breakfast was finished but were offered a freshly cooked breakfast if we wanted it. We did order a small Irish breakfast and a scrambled eggs on toast, delicious and perfectly cooked. This is a gem in west Cork and definitely somewhere we will return to. Thank you.
