Cask was lovely and has an array of fun custom cocktails to choose from, including your standard drink options. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a fantastic monty python themed mezcal drink ("Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries") and pork belly with lentil stew that I could've happily eaten over and over again! The bar staff was super nice and helpful, and one bartender took the time to recommend different drinks and explain what each was and how they were unique. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I'd gladly go again! The only downside, which might be unique to being solo and sitting at the bar, was that it was a little challenging to get attention of a staff member to both order and pay.

Lovely place for a drink if you get in early while it's quiet but can get very loud later in the evening.
Strongly recommend the Sea Trout and the Sprites and Goblins cocktail.

Had a table for 2 here on Friday night just gone. No space inside so reserved a table outside. Checked the weather forecast a few days before sent them a panicked email as it was forecast to be raining and cold (mid December) asking about heating/ covers. Received a prompt email back to reassure me there are outside heaters and the area is covered. I absolutely loved the food, cocktails and atmosphere at this place. The table outside was right next to a heater and lively without being intrusive or too loud. Staff very friendly and plenty of them. The cocktail list is extensive and we tried a few different ones, all really good. Ordered a few of the small plates also - cheeseboard, pana bakery, baby potatoes and apple tarte. All really good with the roast leek butter on the bakery board a particular standout. At one point they brought the charcuterie instead of the cheeseboard by mistake. I would have loved to have kept it as it also looked fantastic however my wife is pescatarian so back it went. I quickly got over that by getting stuck back into the cocktail menu however. We tried the sprites and goblins, speak of the devil, tick Friday and little pot. All fantastic, I was expecting the little pot to be thick/ milky from the description but it was more like a very delicate dessert wine. The apple tarte tartin was good and came with ice cream, however it definitely had the taste and texture of a sorbet. I would have preferred cream/ basic ice cream just to offset the tartness of the apple, but that really is splitting hairs. Everything else was flawless. I would definitely go back if im ever in Cork again.

We enjoyed delicious cocktails made with peaty Connemara whisky, professionally prepared, and savored refined small plates of lamb and beef, as well as a delectable dessert. The price reflects the quality; I highly recommend it.

Best gastropub in Cork. Well deserved. We ate/drank here three times in our 5-day stay. Great place for cocktails, beer, wine and small bites to share. We really liked the Pork Chop, the Red Lentils, and the 1/2 & 1/2 board.
