A Galway classic you can always rely on
The Cellar is a Galway staple and one of those places you know you can always depend on. It’s an old reliable in the best possible way.
The food is consistently excellent, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair, which isn’t always easy to find anymore. Whether you’re dropping in for a casual meal or bringing someone who’s visiting Galway, it never disappoints.
It’s been doing what it does well for years, and that consistency is exactly why it’s such a favourite. Proper comfort food, a solid pint, and great value.

Not as good as it used to be. Portion sizes and quality of food have taken a noticeable downturn since I last visited a year ago. We had to switch tables as the whole floor of the restaurant was vibrating and it was difficult to have a conversation due to a band practising smashing drums as hard as they could in the basement below, it's shame as it used to be a great little venue

We had planned to meet friends at a different restaurant but plans changed at the last minute so we arrived at a very full Di Bella without a reservation and the staff were amazing, showed us to a quiet table in a corner which was perfect for us the food was amazing and was served quickly but by no means rushed. I highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara. The Brie was amazing. Will definitely be back.

To start with the (mostly) positive points: a welcoming place, a menu that offers something for everyone, all at very reasonable prices (~€15 per dish), a wide selection of drinks, extremely fast service, and pretty good food!
As for the few negative points: the first is that the service wasn't very friendly, although nothing dramatic at all. And more subjectively, the curry was good but not entirely to my taste, so I can't give it five stars; the wait for seats also plays a role.
Other than that, it's still a nice place that I could definitely return to on my next trip to Galway!

Great spot for pub food and watching sports. Great atmosphere. The bangers and mash were definitely 5 star. So was the stir fry with Cajun chicken a different flavor profile for sure but a good one.

To be fair, they were super busy when I stopped in however the bar didn't seem to be as busy so that's where I sat. Took several minutes before I was acknowledged and then a bit longer to be asked what I'd like to order. Relative to the other places/puns I had been to this was my least favorite.

Fui allí para un desayuno tardío con la familia. El personal era muy agradable y el desayuno irlandés era delicioso. Los precios también son razonables, buen café.
