Cleere's in Kilkenny

We came in for a few pints and ended up staying for a couple hours, having a great time talking and joking with the bartenders. Getting to speak with Ashley was one of the highlights of our trip. This was also the first place we were exposed to treacle brown bread and their homemade batch is out of this world. The Irish stew was perfect for the setting, and I found myself wanting it again on every chilly day of the trip. Thank you for the hospitality!

Came in for a pint, felt welcomed immediately and enjoyed our time among regulars and locals. The service was outstanding. Would come back anytime. Thank you for a lovely time after a long drive.

Love this bar, great for a pint and a gig.

Went with local friends for a pint and had a good night. It wasn't terribly busy hence we got our drinks relatively quickly. There was a trad session that night too with local singers. It was a wonderful experience to hear some local music. We sat by the fireplace which was cosy and good since it's winter at the moment.

After a long drive from the Cliffs of Moher, we walked into Cleere’s on a Monday night and were completely blown away by the live “Session" The amount of musical talent packed into one pub was unbelievable—each performance was better than the last, and the shared history among the musicians was truly remarkable. It was an honor to experience such a vibrant, authentic night in Kilkenny. My wife and I will never forget it.

A great pub with great staff in the heart of Kilkenny. Well worth the 7 minute walk from the castle.
