Cronin's Sheebeen in Westport

Just had a delightful meal in the Sheebeen. Lovely food, nice atmosphere in a warm and pleasant bar. First class all round.

We go here every year, this year it wasnt as good as previous times. Chicken has a 20 min wait - which is completely fine, but the potatoes served (gratin) were lukewarm at best. Streak came out cold, had to hand back, for nearly 40e a steak youd expect better. Didnt have dessert, didnt want to be disappointed further. Just on the reply - we actually had a booking for 8pm, we did come early approx 735ish and we told staff that we didnt mind waiting. We specifically booked the snugg area, which since we were early had to be setup. But again we told staff that we were early and didnt mind waiting. We were facilitated which we thanked the staff for.

My favourite restaurant in Westport. The mussels are the freshest and best tasting I have ever had. All of the fish dishes are so fresh and perfectly prepared. The chowder can’t be beat. The staff,especially Hannah, and owners are super friendly. I highly recommend this pub/restaurant and plan on returning many times.

Happened upon this spot whilst googling resturants. Great staff and amazing food. Call ahead. We had to have dinner early, 17:30, because they had a bus tour stopping in. The front man Collum was a great, and had an encyclopedic knowledge of historical sites in the area. We will be making Westport, and this place a week-long stop on the next visit.

Local feel, lovely people, and great food. Right across from the water. My husband and I visited from Canada and felt like home there. Visited twice!

What can I say it's excellent good food nice staff.

We had a very good meal, good value for money. Limited by the language barrier, but the staff were adaptable and pleasant.

Have been meaning to go here for some time We were seated in the front area which meant the views and atmosphere was lovely. Staff are very tentitive and polite. Food wise the menu is a bit light on options and expensive that said the quality is very much there . Had read previous posts questioning portion sizes , I wouldn't agree. We had the wings which are large . The specials are a little expensive . I had the pork belly it was very good I would say. Fish and chipnwas rather bland. I would go back.
