Cullen's at the Cottage in

Staying at the Ashford Castle, we were hoping for an amazing dinner at Cullen's, our first night on property. However, we were disappointed. The interior is sparse at best and divided into two dining areas, neither of which are appealing. The menu mimics the space, nothing fun and creative, just typical Irish cuisine. Forget getting fish & chips, chicken or a decent steak here. Best choice for dinner: Head over to Cong at enjoy an amazing meal at Pat Cohen's.

Food is fantastic, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Grounds are gorgeous. We had a great day out!

Outstanding even though you are in Ireland one would think you are in a great restaurant along the cost in France, maybe Brittney. In the old days Michelin had a guide that people could relay on for great food or food worthy of a detour or special trip; this is one of those places.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Cullen’s at the Cottage tonight. Made all the better by the fabulous service given by Matea. She was very knowledgable about all the dishes and delightful to meet. Strongly recommended and we will hopefully be back before too long.

A nice place to have a meal if visiting cong and wanting to see the Ashford Castle close by. Right next to the Cottage there's Ms Teas, with a nice variety of items to buy related to the castle (made by the estate honey and other items).

Wandered along the river bank and came to this very scenic restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly as it was quite busy in the outside patio area due to the lovely afternoons weather. Just wanted something light so I had the seafood chowder. Very nice it was too along with some very tasty Guinness wheaten. Definitely recommend.

We had dinner at Cullen's as external guests. Booking in advance was easy and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The menu had a variety of options and everything tasted great. The staff were friendly and efficient but not over bearing. We had a little walk around the grounds before heading home. It was on the expensive side but a lovely treat.

Fresh Lobster Roll, Oysters, some of the best Guinness. Lovely service, great location and setting excellent place to visit or book for a meal!

Great staff, pleasant and polite. We had only deserts and drinks, and deserts were a bit overpriced for what you get, but location and atmosphere compensate the prices. I am looking forward to visiting again.
