14/02/2025: Stopped in here for a bite to eat and a beer, fantastic place, fabulous atmosphere and a great range of beers on tap both local and national. You also won't be stuck for a shot of Irish whiskey or two, many many different flavours and types from all over the fair isle or Éire. Food was good I had a nice burger with fries and the good lady had a roast beef roll with fries that was only on the lunchtime menu, so thumbs up for that as JRE would say both came with a little salad(way way too much cucumber in mine) however staff could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the pub and it's history, when my good lady enquired about the history she got a rather blank"she's dead now" not after a history lesson but some kind of tale about the pub would have been nice. I'll definitely go there again, great place.
