Very cozy pub, conveniently right next to Galway train station. Fair prices, very nice bar staff, that's how it should be in the pub.

Just wanted to compliment Paddy at Darcys bar, he was so friendly, so accomodating and is a great ambassador for being a great barman in Galway, he was also very funny, my 3 friends and I had a great laugh with him last night, well done Paddy 👏

My fiance and I were in Darcy's pub every single night during our stay in Galway. The ambiance was so authentic, the music was great, and the staff was above and beyond friendly.

Super fun bar! Not sure if they have food. We did not eat there. The live music is great and the staff and other patrons were so friendly. Darragh (not sure on the spelling) and Gina were great behind the bar. Really happy we found this cute and fun place!

The Universal

30/03/2025: Friend and I not seen each other for couple of years so treated ourselves, busy Saturday night, hard to hear self, but such a good atmosphere. Looked after by all the staff, Andy attentive. For what we had, thought the food and wines were overpriced, tasty, and well presented. Wonderful experience overall.
27/03/2025: Beef & Venison was amazing!!! You will not regret it!
