De Barra's Restaurant in Cork

Stopped here for a bit of lunch while passing through Bantry. We had a BLT and tuna melt sambo with portion of wedges and food is 5 star. Very very tasty!!!! The only thing I would say is the service was a bit slow and it wasn't that busy when we were there and lot of tables left and not cleaned up after. It does not look the tidiest coffee shop and needs a little decor upgrade even for the tables. Bathroom wasn't clean and no paper towels. This place has huge potential cos the food is delicious even to have bit of background music would create a lovely atmosphere. The only improvements they need is improvements they can easily improve on. But if you stop here for food you won't be disappointed!

Small local well established restaurant. Simple homely food. LOTS of options. Great service. Really great coffee and the chai latte is gorgeous. We've been 3 times in 3 moths and will definitely be returning.

Great service, felt like thr perfect blend of Coggies, The Trumpet and The Royal Oak in Bitteswell. Lovely auld job

Breakfast was a little bit slow, there only two other guests. Sadly my breakfast was not cooked trough, otherwise is was fine. What was really sad it was so cold in there , no heating on, but of course the energy prices. The cafe itself is nicely decorated and it was very clean.

The coffee is the best in town and food is super too. The staff is always very friendly. And Matt is great! I always enjoy my time spend there. Highly recommend to drop in

The food is yummy and the prices are very reasonable. Matt and the staff were very efficient in handling the many customers. We visited twice during our stay in Bantry.

We had such a delicious lunch today in De Barras. My new favourite is the feta and beetroot gnocchi salad - such a great fresh flavour and good portion size. Followed by a freshly-baked Bakewell tart, made by the owner Matt 👌

Bright and clean. Good choice of food. But I asked for no cheese on my wrap, and halfway through, I found cheese. It was as if they were picking it out of a ready made wrap and didn't get it all! They did apologise and didn't charge me for it.
