Dela in Galway

Went for dinner and the food was decent, nothing outstanding. To start we got the prawns, croquettes and donuts all were good but a little underwhelming. The main dishes were all delicious. The sea bass and trout en croute were so good, lots of flavor and the vegetables cooked perfectly. Also had a bite of the feather blade and was shocked by how well cooked it was. So flavorful but melts in your mouth. We tried all the desserts across our whole party and the best were by far the Celeriac and the miso caramel. The others were not great but those two are worth it. Drink service was very slow, our starters coming out before the first round. But the overall service was very attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth it if you order correctly! Also have heard their brunch is the real showstopper so keep that in mind.

Busy day but short wait, they got us in right away. Excellent food, staff, and service. Highly recommend!

For those who care, best poached egg, very silky

I had eggs Benedict with avocado and butterscotch pancakes. The ingredients are farm to table, which you can definitely taste. Everything tasted incredible. The house made bread that came with eggs benedict was delicious and the pancakes were probably the best ones I have had.

Interesting food! We were let down by service. The few staff around did not check in frequently. We waited a lot. We wanted to order more drinks but we had to eventually flag someone down to ask for them ages after we finished our first ones and we were finally getting food. If we had wanted dessert our dining time would have run over into their second sitting. People were starting to arrive for it as we sat there finished eating without anyone checking in to see if we wanted anything else or to get the bill. There seemed to be one staff member actually hustling around to help while the man up front seemed only interested in chatting with the larger tables or other staff.

Delicious, truly good veggie food! A very good restaurant with a vegetarian focus, but not exclusively. If you're tired of fish and chips, eat here!

Delicious brunch! We turned up just in time before the HEAVE of people queuing, we were seated straight away and the owner Dela made us feel very welcoming. We were kept updated as to when our order will be taken which I feel is a nicest touch because most places don't do that, even though I feel as though it's part of customer service and makes a huge difference. The food was SO GOOD, tea was delish too and I would highly recommend eating here during your visit to Galway.

Could easily be renamed Deli(cious). Great laid back vibe, lovely seasonal food, plenty of seating space, and DOG FRIENDLY!!
