Tucked into a lively Galway street, this breakfast spot feels like the kind of place you “accidentally” discover once… and then mysteriously return to every morning after. The first thing that hits you is the aroma of coffee, rich, warm, and just persuasive enough to make you forget whatever plans you had before walking in.
The coffee here isn’t just good, it’s the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider your standards. Smooth, balanced, and brewed with obvious care, it sets the tone for everything else that follows.
Then comes the food. The menu reads like a love letter to local ingredients, with fresh, thoughtfully sourced produce shining in every dish. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked breakfast plate, flaky pastries, or something a bit more inventive, everything tastes like it was made that morning… because it probably was. There’s a brightness to the flavors that only comes from ingredients that haven’t traveled halfway across the world to meet your fork.
But what really elevates the place is the atmosphere, carried almost entirely by the staff. They welcome you like you’ve been coming in for years, even if it’s your first visit. Service is warm, quick without feeling rushed, and sprinkled with just the right amount of humor to make your morning lighter.
All together, it’s more than just a breakfast stop. It’s a small daily ritual waiting to happen, powered by excellent coffee, honest food, and genuinely kind people.

We had breakfast at Dela and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the coffee was good. The food was also delicious, and we would definitely come back.

Went for dinner and the food was decent, nothing outstanding. To start we got the prawns, croquettes and donuts all were good but a little underwhelming. The main dishes were all delicious. The sea bass and trout en croute were so good, lots of flavor and the vegetables cooked perfectly. Also had a bite of the feather blade and was shocked by how well cooked it was. So flavorful but melts in your mouth. We tried all the desserts across our whole party and the best were by far the Celeriac and the miso caramel. The others were not great but those two are worth it. Drink service was very slow, our starters coming out before the first round. But the overall service was very attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth it if you order correctly! Also have heard their brunch is the real showstopper so keep that in mind.

I had eggs Benedict with avocado and butterscotch pancakes.
The ingredients are farm to table, which you can definitely taste. Everything tasted incredible.
The house made bread that came with eggs benedict was delicious and the pancakes were probably the best ones I have had.
