Dooley's Hotel in Waterford

We visited Hotel February bank Holiday to watch game and have meal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and place spotless. Will definitely return.

Back when I was working in the city center, 'The New Ship Restaurant' at Dooley’s Hotel became my go-to spot for lunch. It was the perfect place to escape the workday rush for a bit, grab a good meal, and just enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. The staff there were always super friendly and welcoming, making sure everything ran smoothly. Even when it was busy, the service was quick and efficient, so I never had to stress about getting my food in time. Speaking of food, I really loved their soup of the day - always fresh, flavorful, and served with delicious bread. But honestly, everything I tried was tasty, well-prepared, and served fast enough to fit perfectly into my one-hour break. Another small but important detail? The place was always spotless, including the restrooms, which were easy to find and well-maintained - something you don’t always think about until it’s a problem, but here, it never was. Looking back, I really appreciated having a spot like this where I could take a break, enjoy some good food, and just unwind for a bit. If I ever find myself back in Waterford, I’ll definitely be stopping by again!

Really nice location. The staff were amazing. It was my birthday weekend. They went above & beyond to help. Only one problem. One lift for the whole hotel which was constantly busy so used the stairs a fair bit to the third floor.

This is a very well positioned hotel on the river side in Waterford - Paid parking is 50m across the road. The staff are all great and Breakfast & Dinner were very good - our room was very comfortable (bed was great) and spotlessly clean. They have good Wi-Fi as well. The hotel is very good for exploring Waterford or a business trip.

A really lovely experience. We were here to visit local family, and were made very welcome. Various family members came over to the hotel during our stay for drinks, food and coffees, and were made welcome and comfortable by the lovely staff. Particular shout out to Anna, who went out of her way to help us out every opportunity and was a pleasure to interact with. Also the gentleman who was overseeing breakfast on Sunday 19/1/25 was great, warm and helpful. We’ll definitely stay again. Thank you!

Great hotel in Waterford. Service extraordinary. Very good irish breakfast. Very spacious room. Bed are really big and cosy. Very well located. 5mn walk to city center. Airport bus stop at the Door.

Never again, I said, but they have improved so much. The place is spotless.
