Dooley's Hotel in Waterford

Rooms were very nice and very roomy. Service in restaurant was always fast. Cute bar on premise. Shout out to Gary at front desk. We wanted help making a reservation for a certain restaurant in Waterford. Gary got us a reservation personally calling the restaurant manager to get us in. He went above and beyond! Thanks for a nice stay in your cute town.

As a coach driver on a tour from uk, i arrived with 40 passengers on 7th oct 2024 Staff were very friendly and helpful, the coach was greeted upon arrival, and the cases taken to respective (very satisfactory rooms) The food was fantastic as too were the serving staff Cosy bar with live music. Would definitely recommend Coach parking was local and hassle free

Lovely room and very friendly staff. Missed breakfast and they accommodated me by allowing me to eat in the bar and choose from the venue.

My first time stating at the hotel, have to say from the staff to the room and the food all was excellent, they are doing a great job here. If I'm in Waterford again I will definitely be staying here.

Room was big, clean and quiet even though in town. The shower was hot, plenty of lovely shower gel and shampoo. Coffee and tea facilities. A drinks machine was down the hall. A decent buffet cooked breakfast, lots of options

Wonderful place to stay, food wonderful defo a 5 star food. Staff wonderful and pleasant overall it’s worth the money. Me and my partner was welcomed and made to be welcome all through out are stay. The perfect stay in Waterford! Staff are the kindest and the room was spotless. Unfortunately parking ib front of the hotel doesn't come at cheap rates. Also the Dry Dock bar in the hotel offers amazing food and again staff are lovely. Dublin has tons to learn about hospitality from Waterford!

For the past number of months, I’ve had the pleasure of staying in Waterford one or two nights per week due to my work. Among the many hotels in the area, Dooley’s stands out as truly exceptional and has become the only hotel I book. As a government official and company director, I often host guests here (and sometimes family), and the level of service and hospitality is consistently outstanding. The staff are wonderful; their warm greetings make me feel at home, whether I’m traveling alone or with colleagues. Even during the busiest times, there is always a smile and a genuine welcome that sets the tone for a pleasant stay. The rooms are a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity—always clean, spacious, and well-appointed. While the river view rooms are stunning, the peaceful atmosphere of the rooms at the back provides a quiet retreat that is equally enjoyable. The food in the bar is fantastic. I find myself indulging in the pasta with chicken schnitzel, toasted almonds, and manchego cheese far too often—it’s simply to die for. Breakfast is a traditional Irish spread, and the quality is consistently excellent. Dooley’s Hotel has truly become a home away from home for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuinely exceptional stay in Waterford.

We ate in the bar area of the hotel. It was an impromptu call-in while we were walking down the front. The welcome we received was very friendly. The menu was decent and even someone as fickle as me found plenty of choice. There was a slight mix-up with one of the side dishes but the staff member who had taken the order came over and apologised personally. That itself was a nice touch. The bar is a nicely decorated and pleasant space. Wish we could go again!
