Durty Nelly's in Bunratty

This place is so cool! Felt like I was stepping back in time. Not only is it a very old bar but its cool name is the cherry on top. I got a beer within 2 minutes of walking in at one of the multiple they had on the first floor. Decided I was hungry and wanted a seafood chowder to take away. They unfortunately do not have take away containers for soup, giving it to me in a coffee cup container. That wasn’t really an issue, I’m easy going. What was an issue, they gave my cousin 4 pieces of brown bread and didn’t give me any! I had to ask for the bread, again not a problem to ask but I wanted 4 pieces! Why was he so special! His wife said it’s because he’s cute but idk I think I got the looks not him! The soup is something I’m on the hunt for. Need the best soup. No this was not it. It was good and it made me realize I like mussels but it wasn’t a contender for best soup.

This is a must for all tourists. Great atmosphere and great food.

Great place to visit lovely pub and surroundings

Great location. We spent a lot of time in the area and dirty Nelly's was our go to place very comfortable with a awesome staff.

Our last beverage before returning to Massachusetts after our Bunratty Medieval feast and ten days of exploring the area. Durty Mary's has a quintessential Irish atmosphere with a relaxed vibe and a great musician tucked away who was quite good. We had accidentally deleted the phone number for our cab and the bartender demonstrated the best hospitality by securing us another cab, and he also kept watch for us. He even escorted us to meet the driver. We had a great conversation with some native Northerners also on holiday ending our evening with hugs and handshakes. Thank you for your hospitality.

Our least favorite place about the castle. Everyone in the castle was lovely and friendly. Everyone in this place seemed like they didn’t like Americans or didn’t want us there. Did not feel welcomed. Food was good.

Been coming to Durty Nellys since I was a kid. We fly over a few times a year and always visit. However this was the first time ordering food. The food was delicious, I had the steak sandwiches and it was huge. The portion was definitely worth the money. They have a good size menu and can't fault any of it. The pub itself is beautiful, very traditional with lots to look at. It is very enticing from the outside too. It has loads of little nook and crannys to sit too.

Great wee pub met the wolfe tones here... staff and customers very friendly.

This place is a MUST GO! Leave room for the sticky toffee pudding Norbert, the chef, is a genius! It is the absolutely outstanding. Gold stars all the way. You have to go!!!!!!! If you happened to have Emma as your server you are even more blessed.

Visiting the oldest pub was a real treat! We toured Bunratty Castle and then stopped in for lunch. The food was great! The atmosphere was even better. They have first responder patches from all over and we even found the police patch from our home town! This was a really fun lunch and I highly recommend.
