We had bacon and fish pie; the food was hearty and delicious. While waiting for a table, we enjoyed a Guinness at the bar, listening to traditional music. The only downside for us was the price; this pub was the most expensive we visited in Ireland.

Very nice moment! We came here from France and there is a lot of choice for this little city between the mountains, it's not noisy even with music and the staff is very kind and very welcoming! For a lunch break in the connemara county, this is a place I highly recommend!

A very pleasant place with the atmosphere of both a bar and a restaurant. The staff is very welcoming, and a special mention goes to the bartender! You'll find local specialties as well as more common dishes. The food is very good; I recommend the stew. So there's something for everyone. Don't hesitate to go.

I was alone, and they directed me to a small round table with a high stool, my favorite spot. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was excellent.

The beef burger was tasty and the chips were perfectly crispy and seasoned - but for the price I would have expected a larger portion of chips or something else. Service was great and fast. The live music was great.

This is a must on your Clifden/Galway Buckets list. Amazing staff, great food and drinks and fantastic live entertainment, all a walk from the sea. One of our favorites. We'll be popping in after our show.

Foyle's Hotel

27/05/2026: A charming old historic hotel full of character and authenticity. It is very centrally located right in the heart of Clifden, which naturally means there can occasionally be a little bit of street activity already early in the morning. However, the unique location and atmosphere more than make up for it, and the prices are very reasonable and fair. We especially enjoyed the breakfast — the homemade plum compote and homemade apple compote were absolutely delicious. The hospitality from the entire team was excellent, and we felt very well looked after throughout our stay. We were very satisfied and would gladly return.
21/05/2026: The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean, and warm. There were plenty of breakfast options, and the restaurant was excellent with friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended!

12/09/2026: In the centre of Clifden, a lovely stop for lunch. Lots to choose from, delicious options and quick service. Reasonable prices with attentive staff on hand.
07/09/2026: This is always a must-stop any time I’m in Clifden. Delicious fresh fish, expertly cooked, served with style. A top-notch experience, every time. Today, cod gougons, crisp in panko breadcrumbs, with simple tasty dressed potato and salad. I’m already dreaming of my next visit!
