Finnegan's in Galway

An interesting place that opened unexpectedly. We'd been passing by for four years and didn't even know it existed. A very decent restaurant. Just a few steps away from the most popular streets, and it has a different vibe. More of a pleasant simplicity. I liked it. Between two interesting eco-friendly shops. A very suitable location.

Good food and great portions for the price. Wanted to have some traditional Irish food and this hit the spot!

They took us in (group of 23) even tho we did a realy late reservation. Food was good, waitress was very kind and service was really fast.

The restaurant was extremly accomodating to accept our big group at a very late notice. The waitress was awesome - kind, fast and friendly. The food was good and the portions were big. For the price, a great place!

We had two dinners during our stay in Galway. The dishes were well-prepared and plentiful, typical Irish, just like the restaurant. We were very satisfied!

Had our first Irish breakfast to kick off our holiday; it was delicious. The restaurant is located in the city center and easily accessible on foot.

On our Ireland trip, we wanted to try out some beef stew and shepherd pie. But every time we tried the local places were packed and busy lunch or dinner. While in Galway google recommended Finnegans to us since it was least busy, rated highly and closest to walk to. We were happy to have visited there met others enjoying their lunch and we loved our lunch here. Highly recommend it to everyone. Our waitress said its been there in that location from 1859! Wow!
