Fionnbarra's in Cork

Very good atmosphere, great selection of beers, amazing pizzas and good music. However, the beergarden's retractable ceiling is always closed and tobbaco smoke often acumulates, so not really a smoke-free area as should be.

We spontaneously decided to come here on a Friday evening because we were craving pizza and a good drink. Luckily, there was still some space, so we were able to sit down. You order drinks and food at the bar. You take your drinks to go, and the pizzas are brought to your table. There isn't a set menu; instead, there are boards scattered around the restaurant listing the specials. The selection is quite good, so everyone can find a pizza they like. There's also something for everyone when it comes to drinks, with several types of beer as well as non-alcoholic options. We opted for a four-cheese pizza and the house special pizza, along with a Coke and a Murphy's. The pizzas were very tasty and quite filling. It was our first time trying a Murphy's, and we were both impressed—it was delicious. The service is generally quite good; you get served quickly at the bar, and as mentioned, you can take your drinks to go yourself. We had to wait a little over half an hour for the pizzas, which felt even longer because we were starving. The atmosphere is very nice, both in the bar and in the covered beer garden. There's a good selection of seats. However, the sound is a bit echoey, and the noise level in the beer garden is almost unbearable; it was extremely difficult to have a conversation if you were sitting in the middle of the room. On the plus side, the restrooms were very clean, which I appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a meal followed by a visit to an Irish beer garden.

Pizza & a pint, what's not to like 🙂

We finally found the gluten-free 9 White Deer Stout. A great place with a lovely garden. Gluten-free pizza too. But the smell of tobacco from the garden was overwhelming...

Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance, delicious food

Cozy place, a little away from the busy city center. Nice courtyard, good service and good beers.

Pub is lovely, nice decor and a lot of space. It can get very noisy and even if they close the canopy they still let people smoke so - despite some air circulation - you'll come home stinking of smoke. Despite having a beer garden in the back, the place is not ideal if you also have hayfever / asthma etc.
