Fishy Fishy in Kinsale

There's not much to say: the fish is showcased beautifully in a setting that suits it. However, is it worth the price? I'll let you be the judge.

We had heard many good things about this restaurant, but the food was a bit underwelming. The quality was great and very tasty, but it was not an exceptional meal. If you feel like a good meal at great value then this restaurant is a good spot. But we felt that as a seafood restaurant the fish dishes could have been a bit more innovative.

Stunning experience. Ignore comments about portion sizes, utter nonsense. Food was delicious, well presented and staff were excellent.

The food did not meet our expectations and did not justify the high price. The sirloin steak cost €36.50 and contained a lot of gristle. The crème brûlée was served very cold and in a pot that was too deep, even though this classic French dessert should have a warm, caramelized sugar top while the custard underneath remains cooler. Overall, the experience was disappointing considering the price.

Delicious!!! Incredible fish pie! Such generous portions of perfect seafood. Already planning our next fix. Thanks crew!

Great service, excellent plates

Unfortunately not the standard it once was, food was only ok and we were quite disappointed overall.

They serve great food all day. Very pleasant staff, an outdoor seating area and easy winter parking. The menu selection is not the biggest, but I think maybe that let's them concentrate on getting what they do offer to a very high standard. The grilled salmon is just perfect and I've had it several times now.
