Fishy Fishy in Kinsale

Delicious food. Very friendly service.

They serve great food all day. Very pleasant staff, an outdoor seating area and easy winter parking. The menu selection is not the biggest, but I think maybe that let's them concentrate on getting what they do offer to a very high standard. The grilled salmon is just perfect and I've had it several times now.

Unfortunately the food fell short: chalky rice swimming in a creamy sauce masquerading as a risotto arrived to the table in under 10 minutes. Great service and beautiful restaurant though!

Absolutely amazing food! We felt welcome from the first moment to the last. The restaurant is classy and well decorated for a nice relaxing experience. Hearing the sourcing of the food was meaningful for us. Excellent views inside and out. The whole area is picturesque.

A terrific lunch stop. The hot oysters were great and tasted very fresh. The fish pie was new to us which was delicious and filling. Everything we ordered was great.

Delightful restaurant in Kinsale. Well worth stopping here for something to eat. Excellent food and great wines and good service from the staff.

Very well staffed, everyone very kind, excellent food and wine by glass menu. Every dish was excellent. We had scallops with pudding, taste of sea, tuna and hake.

Our friend had gone to Ireland the year before and highly suggested this restaurant has the best seafood they’ve ever had. We also saw it featured on Somebody Feed Phil, the show on Netflix. We ate here for lunch and when I made the reservation I asked for a nice table because it was our anniversary. This was never noted by the restaurant nor was any effort made to acknowledge the note on my reservation during or after our meal. We shared the fish soup, which was bland and not very memorable. The bread was brought to the table after the soup and it would have been a welcome addition to it. My girlfriend had the fish pie. She really liked it. I tried it and the fish was definitely not fresh in it. I had the scallops, and they were the best I’ve ever had. They left the beard on them and they were just fantastic. The server kind and warm. The ambience was light and beautiful. I give 4 stars because of the inconsistency of the food. Everything else was really good.
