Galtee Inn in Cahir

Fantastic pub/restaurant. Really good food nice service. Place with its own atmosphere.

Our dinner was excellent, I had the short ribs and my husband the steak which was cooked perfectly. The portions are very generous.

Stunning steak dinner from Galtee Inn after a long day in Thomond Park. The owner went above and beyond to get us a dinner just before kitchen closed. The food was plentiful and delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection. The locals and were friendly and the staff were super attentive. I would 100% recommend stopping in for food or a couple of drinks.

Great surprise in Cahir. Delicious seafood chowder and bread and butter pudding. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful spot for lunch before heading to the Rock of Cashel. The Nettle soup was fantastic, as well as the chicken cranberry wrap and a pint of the Whitefield Brewery red ale. A must stop.

Always a treat to stop here when visiting anyone of the many attractions in the area be it climbing the Galty mountains or walking in Glengara Woods ,the castle or the Swiss cottage. The Welcome in this place is always warm and the food is lovely with a great range for all tastes.

Out first time here. We all had the pork roast and it was lovely!! Well be back again!!

We as a couple have had lunch her for 2 weekday afternoons over the last 2 weeks. The Food is of the highest quality and plentiful in portions. Starters / Dinners / Deserts & Coffee were wonderful. Prices were good for the portions received. Previous reviews mentioned microwaved food - it mustn’t have been working for the 2 visits we made, Keep it up! See you again on Wednesday next. Regards? Really inviting front of building, nice inside decent staff but the food was microwaved to within an inch of its life, dry tough reheated chicken, mash and veg again reheated, all very tasteless, over €16 for a lunch is alot especially when it’s quite poor quality! Shame, nice pub tho
