Galtee Inn in Cahir

I came here with 27 people back in October. I am a guide and the group was booked in for a 2 course meal. The food was delicious, very fresh and full of flavour. The staff were fantastic, they really made us feel at home. John and his team were brilliant!

Cozy pub with good options for food. Our group had a lunch deal of soup+main and all the food was outstanding. The services was fast and efficient.

I used to come here with my grandmother as a child so it was important I revisited here. The layout seems different to when I was young but the food tasted the same 😅 the food was good, the service was great and atmosphere here was mellow. Got talking to some locals while having dinner, important I went back to visit one of the first strong women in my life.

Really nice food. Stumbled on this place but wasn't disappointed. Youngest in my house said he would walk back for the gravy 🙈

What an outstanding experience delivered by John and his team. They made us feel welcome like we were regulars. The food tasted great and was delivered quickly with a smile. We interacted with 4 or 5 different people that were working at the inn and each one was a pleasure. John helped me to find an Irish whiskey to finish off our experience.

We were seated at a table right in the bar area and the table was very high, with limited space for anyone with longer legs. Steak was good, but service was blunt and unfriendly. TV blaring out in front of us, music from a radio to the side madeit all very noisy. Not once were we asked if our meal was OK and it felt like eating in a public bar and being stared at by locals

Really liked this pub, stopped by for a few pints on the way back to Dublin from a trip to Dingle.

9oz steak was first class and very reasonable price

Probably the best steak in Ireland. Top class food and drink. Slap bang in centre of the beautiful town of cahir. Not to be missed 😌
