Goosers in Ballina

Beautiful spot for food. We got a table beside the stove and it was super comfy. Service was fantastic for a party of 6.

Had a meal here with friends just before Christmas, when we arrived, the person that booked the table spoke with a young girl with a pony tail, who bascily was very smart with our friend by stating we were late by 2 hrs for our table which was totally inaccurate. We were not impressed by this welcome, nor did she apologise over her comment. The food was excellent but was extremely slow. We had to wait 45 minutes to get our mains, which is not good. It is also advisable that the table servers need to be trained on how to serve a tables, before some of us were finished, the servers were clearing the plates, which made us feel uncomfortable and rushed. I thought it was down to the young server who hadn't a clue, but I overheard a conversation with the same girl at the reception given orders to the table servers to remove plates straight away. So this person is not suitable front of house, as it ruined our experience to what could have being a good night with good food. Another problem we had, we had booked a table booth, which was nice, but the restaurant bar is very noisey, and with the young lads behind the bar rattling, the cocktail makers made the noise in tolerable. I would suggest noise proofing the area with wall or ceiling buffers, as the noise is very strong.

On route to munster match tonight made a choice to stop here for quick bite to eat 😋 looked good and wasn't disappointed BEST FISH AND CHIPS I've had in long-time finger licking to be honest staff were amazing and full credit to the chef will be our new stop on way matches great service great food well worth the visit regards paul

We’ve eaten there twice in the last two weeks. I can only report that on both occasions everything was excellent, food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended.

Stopped off today after a hike on moylussa- we were cold and hungry, stove in seating area warmed us up and we had great burger and chips and salad. It was lovely, could not fault.

A must go if you are in and around kilaloe. Staff were excellent, interior was all newly renovated and had a very cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend booking in advance as it gets busy! Overall the meal was one of the nicest I've had, highly recommend the chowder and the venison steak.

I had a meal in Goosers with my wife & son earlier. It was first class in terms of food, service and the Premises is outstanding. Well done to Killian & his fantastic staff.

Service 1st class....atmosphere very good....food so tasty...bacon and cabbage best ive been served ever...going back weekly from now on...cant wait!!
