Excellent spot in Clifden. We highly recommend the seafood. Avoid the burgers and pizzas, which are good but only available during your stay or as a last resort. We also really liked the selection of good beers. Great location, good atmosphere. Very good with teenagers.

We were in the area and stopped in at this restaurant recommended by friends. The welcome was friendly and attentive. The meat and fish dishes were delicious and beautifully presented (the oysters and mussels were exceptional), and we also really enjoyed the desserts. Highly recommended.

We loved the dinner at Guy's while visiting Clifden. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we got some excellent recommendations. There are local beers and cocktails to try. Tried the ribeye burger and it was so good. Great selection of deserts as well.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and attentive. I just wanted something simple to eat, so I had the traditional fish and chips, the fish was delicious, if I had my way I’d have sat there all day just eating the fish. Go here and eat before you die, you won’t regret it.

Abbeyglen Castle Hotel

13/11/2025: Unbelievable experience! Management & staff are so good! November 14th, 2025: I need to say more as I didn't do it justice with the brief comment above. We simply loved this place. If we were ever to visit Ireland again, Abbeyglen Castle Hotel would be on the TOP of our list of places to stay!
13/11/2025: Good breakfast, comfortable beds, but the rooms could use a better renovation: very kitschy, and the bathroom ventilation system is extremely noisy.
