Guy's Bar in Clifden

Wow! Totally blown away by this gem in Clifden. The food (we got the seafood skillet, soup, oysters, and mussels) were all delicious. The wine options were also great. The atmosphere and lighting was exceptional - so cozy and ambient, with so many private nooks and booths. The host and bartenders/servers were lovely and gracious. Would return any time and recommend as a stop to anyone! We went for dinner and were able to get sat at the bar with no reservation during the weekend, but they do get busy.

The tempura prawns and seafood chowder were great!

Came here on a rainy night in August. We had to wait a few minutes for a table as the bar was very busy, so we had a drink at the bar. We had a small dog with us and we we seated in a small snug booth which was perfect. The food was really excellent. I had oysters to start followed by the seafood skillet. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the skillet was excellent, a huge pile of mussels, king prawns and squid in a creamy slightly spicy sauce. My wife had the Chef's Majadra. She absolutely loved it, one of the best vegetarian dishes she has had anywhere. We stared a delicious sticky toffee pudding. The service we had that evening was superb. Very attentive, warm and accommodating. A great place to eat, can see why it was so busy!

The food was delicious, specially the mussels and the seafood skillet, and the staff was super attentive and friendly.

Delicious food, delicious fish, even the traditional Irish bread was amazing. Large portions and reasonably priced.

We ate here because our colleague across the street was closed. We definitely didn't regret it, the food was incredibly delicious 😋. We had seafood linguine and my husband had seafood.

Irish atmosphere, a bit chaotic but good restaurant, touristy, but in the Irish way. Good food. Recommended
