Great food with a really nice atmosphere

It was everything you wanted for our first true Irish pub. And to our pleasant surprise it had a Michelin star!

Lovely restaurant with great food and great selection of drinks. All of the staff were kind and very knowledgeable of the menu and thanks to Chris for looking after us on a special occasion.

Went for dinner last weekend with my family. Our first time there and will definitely make the journey from Cork again to visit. The blade of beef was top notch and same goes for the service. The front of house manager looked after us so well, she was on the ball. Thanks folks, see you soon

Food was okay, fish and chips i have had better, service was slow and forgot about our drinks order. Very basic food and not great presentation.

I am not really a big fan of pub food, it's basically the same food no matter where you go and to be honest the quality is normally not very good. I was pleasantly suprised with the food offered at Hartes of Kildare. My wife was in Ireland for a couple of nights to get away and we went into Kildare to do some shopping, it got late and there wasn't a lot of options for food so we went into the Hartes pub. The atmosphere was nice, the place was buzzing and packed of people however service was still friendly and quick. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife had fish and chips and I had a hot stone filet steak (the kind you cook yourself on a hot stone at your table), and we shared a bowl of carrot and coconut soup. The soups in Ireland never disappoint, very thick and creamy. The C&C soup reminded me a bit of curry, but it was very tasty. The mains came out and it was just as nice, the chips where cooked perfectly and my wife really enjoyed the fish. She did say it was a little greasy, but that's to be expected with battered fish. My steak was seasoned very well and was delicious. We didn't have room for desert, but enjoyed our meal. We would defnitely eat here again if we are in this part of the world again.
