Hooked in Galway

Having just eaten here, I would advice against it. The food was not good at all. The pasta special with red sauce tasted of sugar and curry. The bread that came with it was cakey and soft( not in a good way) they didn't check on us and we're not concerned with our meal. Very very very disappointing.

Had an amazing meal there this evening. The food and service was fantastic. The chorizo and prawn fries were amazing! Issa the chef is incredible. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys

This is the seafood restaurant you want to visit. Fresh food, best fish and chips in Galway as the oil is fresh. Really really good. Suggest you call for reservations as the place is small.

A top condender for our favourite restaurant in Galway now. Definitely top of the seafood chain. We had salt n pepper calamari, coconut, Chilli Killarney mussels, a seafood linguine and the fish pie. All delectable!! Staff were lovely also. Decor fun and you get that holiday vibe. Looking forward to coming back before I leave the table.

One of the best restaurants in Galway

The best seafood I've enjoyed throughout my considersble travels! We sampled the oysters, which were the freshest I've experienced anywhere. A qualitative difference from the second best I can recall. We also enjoyed 4 seafood dishes and all of it was stunningly good. It is relatively pricey, but the portions are generous, and rich. By example, the linguini is dense with seafood. Service was warm and efficient ...but the food!!!! I need to come back to Ireland to come to this restaurant again.

We have always enjoyed coming to Hooked and the food is always top shelf!!! We highly recommend Hooked for the quality of fish and chips and delicious other food options! While the food and service is often amazing, this past experience, however, one of the female waitstaff members was extremely rude and unprofessional to our table and we could also overhear how she treated her other tables poorly, too. We were very excited to dine in and with an immediate rude tone as we walked in the door, our experience was tainted for the rest of the evening. She was short and snippy with us while we ordered and had little to no enthusiasm towards explaining the new dishes. It felt like our being there was an inconvenience to her and made the whole evening awkward. Hoping she is able to get the training needed to be kind and respectful to customers. I do want to reiterate how amazing the food is and that you for sure should check it out if you’re looking for the best fish and chips and more!!!

Simple and informal restaurant serving local fish cooked and served by them in a delicious way. We happened here for lunch and fortunately we were imemdiately seated. They only accept reservation of 6 or more people otherwise you have to queue. We wanted a ligth lunch so we choose to share some dishes. Spicy shrimps taco. Hooked classic prawn roll. Hooked fish and chips. Food was outstanding. Staff friendly and helpful.
