Nice and cozy small restaurant. The oysters were delicious!

A place with a lot of charm and excellent food based on good products. Special mention to the waiter from Uruguay who made our stay much more pleasant and recommended all the dishes. I promise to return.

Good quality food but a bit pricy for a bit of fish

I always like fried food. Took me some time to do the research about who got the best fish n chips in town, and i chose Hooked. Not the first time having fish n chips, i actually have already tried several local Galway fish n chips. I would say Hooked is the best so far in the world i have ever tasted. I chose takeouts. It is my ritual to do when i am in Galway- having fish n chips while chilling by the breathtaking coastline. Ngl it is damn cold to do it in January, i almost can’t feel my hands yet it is worthy. I forgot what kind of fish it was of the day but oh my gosh it is so soft that it just crumbles without chewing, and with that coat of batter, no other words, please do try! I have also dine in at the restaurant. The atmosphere and the service were great. I ordered fried squid and seafood chowder. Fried squid i believe is a whole squid. It is good but without the sauce it cannot be complete. That lemon chili sauce is everything 😌 The chowder got the quality but i have tasted better in other place. All in all, this restaurant is definitely a place you don’t want to miss when visiting Galway. Btw their pepper powder is amazing. Add a little, it will make your food taste epicer in another level.

Simple and informal restaurant serving local fish cooked and served by them in a delicious way. We happened here for lunch and fortunately we were imemdiately seated. They only accept reservation of 6 or more people otherwise you have to queue. We wanted a ligth lunch so we choose to share some dishes. Spicy shrimps taco. Hooked classic prawn roll. Hooked fish and chips. Food was outstanding. Staff friendly and helpful.
