Hooked in Galway

This is the tastiest, crunchiest and most flavorful fish and chips in the game, and I say that as a self-proclaimed fish and chips connoisseur. You must order the mashed peas to accompany your fish and chips. It’s simply the traditional pairing. We had fresh Hake as our catch of the day. We ordered the mash and side salad and it was all fresh and delicious. Absolutely recommend - it’s been my favorite meal in Ireland thus far

Omg I had one of the best fish and chips ever had (cod) but I have to take one star off as the portion was small. I’m a small woman and I still left feeling hungry after but ordering more would have been too expensive. The fish and chips was $19.40 euro. Protip ask for an extra piece of lemon!

I had risotto, and since it was very cold outside that day, the warm risotto was delicious! It had a variety of seafood in it, which was great! The atmosphere of the restaurant was bright and comfortable!

This restaurant was truly satisfying! Since we didn't make a reservation, the wait staff kindly registered our wait in real time, and we received a message when it was our turn. They told us to expect a 45-minute wait, but the actual wait was about 20 minutes. We ordered three items: a half-plate of oysters, a fisherman's stew, and a seafood risotto. As expected from a restaurant famous for its oysters, they were incredibly fresh!! The accompanying sauce was refreshing and complemented the dish perfectly, so we devoured it in no time. The stew was incredibly generous with seafood, almost to the point where there was more filling than broth. The cod was plump and tender, filling our mouths with a satisfying bite! The risotto we ordered alongside was a bit bland, but the stew had a strong flavor, making it a perfect complement. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!! 👍👍

Even though it was a very crowded place and I was a solo traveler, I was greeted warmly and kindly. The food was delicious, and I'd love to come back again.

A little outside the tourist center. A small, rustic fish restaurant. All of our fish dishes were delicious and fresh. The service could have been a little more attentive. Definitely a try!

Best gluten free fish and chips ever!!! We ordered both the grilled and gf fried fish and chips- both were outstanding! And the chips were also top tier! Can't recommend it enough so if you're visiting Galway, get there!!

The risotto is really good, I highly recommend it, but the tempura shrimp we ordered lacked flavor. Especially the coconut seemed absent. Otherwise, it's a nice little restaurant on the edge of Galway City Center. The service was slightly lacking, as it seemed overwhelmed.

We had super delicious mussels and grilled fish and chips. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
