Ice House Hotel in Ballina

Stunning place . Had a lovely night there.

We had an incredible experience at the Ice House Hotel from start to finish. The riverside views are stunning, and the mix of modern design with the historic charm of the building is just beautiful. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had the most comfortable bed — plus that huge window overlooking the River Moy made it feel so peaceful. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay special. Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding — fresh local ingredients, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. The spa was another highlight — relaxing, spotless, and the outdoor hot tubs by the river were a dream! We left feeling completely relaxed and pampered. Highly recommend the Ice House Hotel for anyone looking for a luxury getaway in a serene setting. We can’t wait to come back!

Great thing about the icehouse was the view from the rooms. Absolutely stunning. Wouldn’t rave about the food but it was fine. People working there were very friendly and professional.

Fantastic hotel. All staff super friendly and helpful. Great spa facilities. Trendy bar and restaurant area, really good vibe in the place. Had a fantastic stay there and would highly recommend for some casual luxury

No one minds parting with money when the experience is worth it and that wasn’t the case with my recent stay at the Ice House Hotel. Check in was fine but the room was very average, curtains that didn’t close or block the light and an unpleasant odour in the room and the corridors. It was noisy during the night banging doors etc. Room was freezing when we arrived but we managed to turn the rad on and heat it up. Beds were comfortable. Staff is friendly but it’s clear the hotel needs some investment and review of the customer experience. Dinner was included and not great. Imagery Guinness and Sourdough Bread on the menu but no one ever received any bread. Breakfast was uneditable. Bacon and fried eggs except the fried eggs were hard boiled leaving it dry and rubbery. Small selection available at the buffet. I had thought the spa had redeemed the stay and the views are beautiful until I got the incorrect bath and was left standing in the changing rooms dripping wet trying to shower with neither cubicle having any shower gel or hair wash. A disappointing stay and won’t be back.
