Everything was AMAZING. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the service is warm and attentive, and the food… wow.
The risotto was INSANELY good — perfectly cooked, rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Honestly one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. Every bite felt thoughtful and beautifully balanced.
You can really tell they care about quality, ingredients, and doing Italian food properly. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit in Galway

Excellent experience, welcoming restaurant, quality food, especially the pasta, artisanal and well-prepared. The staff was friendly, especially Francesco, a polite waiter who was always willing to accommodate our requests! Well done! If you come to Galway, come to Vicolo!!

Oh mah gosh! This place is spectacular!! The food the service! Being served in a way where you mattered is the utmost best feeling you can feel in a restaurant. The service that matches the food and it was to die for. The Black soul fish paired with a bottle of Maretti Langhe. Chefs kiss through and through. Def top tier for Galway!

We went for our anniversary dinner. I have a lot of allergies and I’m coeliac and from the booking to sitting down I was reassured they could tailor most of the dishes to suit me! It’s super hard to find places that are so welcoming and accommodating for people with allergies and dietary restrictions.
Staff were so lovely, food was delish, live music was cozy. 10/10 recommend this place!

The food was special and the waitress looked after us so well. We didn’t have a booking but they were very accommodating and found us a lovely candle lit table. We had the Osso Buco risotto and venison ragu and it was delicious - would highly recommend

The homemade bread was delicious. The pasta in my starter was a bit too Al denté for me, but the pasta in the main course was better. The ambiance was very relaxing. I would go back another time.

My girlfriend and I had been wanting to book a meal here for a very long time and we were not disappointed when we finally did last month. The outstanding food was only bettered by the amazing service all evening, especially from our waitress Ailbhe who was so friendly and helpful and really improved the whole experience. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

A very mixed bag , greeting was freindly and welcoming , shared 3 starters , ravioli , beef cheek and venison tataki , ravioli wzs delicious bursting with flavour , the beef was just shredded beef on bread , that was underseasoned and dry , also missing the 'crispy shallots stated on the menu, the venison , well was just lost in the garnish , the dish was just a bunch of elements on a plate that didnt really work in harmony together , the mains were the real dissapointment , the carbonara came out steaming hot , congealed and any chance of the egg cheese and pasta water emulsion had to make a creamy sauce was gone at this point , for something so simple to cook it was a real dissapointment , the other main essesntially just a mushroom pasta from the specials bored was ok , lacked depth of flavour and is not up to par with the price being charged , a really beautiful setting , but on this occasion let down by the food.
