Best food in Galway! The 30 min wait for lunch was totally worth it. The food was really outstanding, I highly recommend it. They only use ingredients that are in season. Everything is fresh, ripe, and the menu rotates with the seasons.

Top to bottom Kai was a fantastic experience. High end eats with a family approach to service and hospitality. Everything we ordered was amazing. David was even able to work with the chefs as one member of our party has an extensive food allergy. Can’t go wrong. Book a table and treat yourself to an experience at Kai.

In my opiniom there is no restaurant as good as this in Galway. You need to book early. They are always busy simply because of their excellent reputation. Owner gifted chief chef Jess and her husband David, who manages perfectly, by being on floor and giving attentive service.

Disappointing. Given the many positive reviews, we had high expectations. We should have read through the reviews more carefully, as our experience was similar to that shared in about 1/5 of the reviews by others below. Atmosphere is really nice. Service is good, but nothing special given the price and reputation -- perfunctory comes to mind. The real disappointment was the food. The parma appetizer was great. The rest of the dishes, however, while cooked really well, were either remarkably bland, as if missing key ingredients, or plain off with mismatched ingredients. There are numerous better restaurants for this price across Ireland, including within a few blocks away in Galway.
