Best fish on our Ireland trip. Family-run traditional pub with attached restaurant. Super friendly and courteous service. If you want to experience the real Ireland and not a “Disneyland Ireland” like around Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, come here. Simply good!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Keane's a friendly family-run place that's well situated for Co. Clare's various attractions. Despite what a previous review claimed, the restaurant is certainly not dirty and the food is just delicious. We had dinner on both evenings and everything we had was very tasty and came in generous portions. The service was excellent and very friendly. After dinner you can relax in the cosy and convivial bar. The accommodation was very comfortable and provides everything necessary for self-catering, though frankly I would suggest eating in the restaurant as much as possible. A big bonus for us was that Keane's is dog friendly and our pooch was made very welcome. We highly recommend a stay at Keane's!

Stayed here for 2 nights would definitely go back

My partner and I had dinner in Keane's on Mon June 17th. For a starter we shared delicious crab claws in garlic butter. My partner had a mains of duck and ham while I had the lemon sole. We both agreed that they were the best we have ever tasted. The portions were generous with plenty of tasty veg on the side. Thanks to our lovely waitress who was attentive and chatty. We can't wait to return.

I would offer 5 stars for the food but unfortunately the steak (although perfectly cooked) was a little tough/chewy - probably no fault of the restaurant... but it was my main meal... and I did still eat everything as part of the "surf and turf" We stayed in the dog friendly apartments attached to the pub/restaurant - very reasonably priced, great service and we will be back there again VERY soon
