Came here in March. Very understated. I had prawns to start and John Dory for main. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and piping hot. Good sized portion and you leave well fed. Lovely fire on and the pints looked good. Nothing fancy just straight up good food.

Smuggler’s Inn

17/05/2025: We came for dinner and was at first a little hesitant at first glance of the menu (especially with my shellfish allergy) but boy were we pleasantly surprised! They accommodated us with a smile and we had a starter of olive tamponade, breads, and dips they put together, then my partner had the black sole special and I the monkfish (they swapped the shellfish sauce for a tomato based one). It was exceptional! Best monkfish I've ever had, the flavour and presentation was just amazing. We were smiling and sharing bites the whole time. Dessert we had the coconut cheesecake and honey and cardamom Pana cotta and it was the perfect end. Would highly recommend for a date night.
