Wow, a true Irish pub. Seafood chowder was outstanding. Service was fantastic. Very friendly and full of information. Live music was wonderful, and had the crowd participating in song. Fun night to never forget.

Our favourite bar in Ireland ❤️ friendly service. The Irish lady with long dark hair was so accommodating there was no chocolate sauce for the desert so she went out of her way to go to the shops to try and get some but unfortunately couldnt but the fact she tried was great. It's been our local whilst staying in kinsale and travelling all over through the day. Food was delicious staff friendly. Great atmosphere very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended to all !

We had a very good meal and received friendly service. Prices were normal for Ireland, but "cheap" for Kinsale. It was great that there were vegetarian options!

13/05/2026: We came for the set menu on a weekday and the restaurant was relatively quiet. Overall I enjoyed the meal and my personal favourite was the langoustine course, which was light and the langoustine was super fresh. The courses that I didn’t enjoyed was the fish with the prawn broth (v salty) and the main paired with the beetroot sauce and Szechuan pepper - somehow it over complicates the dish and the combination don’t work. One of the course was a round croissant served with some beautiful Irish butter - but again I’m happy with a simple good warm bread that could highlight the flavour of the butter .. instead of putting butter on a croissant that’s already made with a lot of butter.
04/05/2026: An amazing experience, superb tasting menu and paired wines. Impeccable service. The culinary highlight of our 10 day trip to the south and west of Ireland.

Trident Hotel Kinsale

20/05/2026: It was recommended for its food! But both breakfast and diner where below standard. Waiter seemed kind but inexperienced. Location is good.
17/05/2026: Great hotel perched right by the water in historic Kinsale. Open your window and you can hear the waves lapping the shore.
